Let me introduce myself. My name is Leslie Ling, I go by Les. I use an online name of “egrtolrn,” meaning that I am eager to learn. I’m still new to the Vegan life style. I first listened to Dr. Steven R. Gundry’s, “The Plant Paradox” a couple years ago. It made sense. I believed it. Most of my life I have been physically active. I am an old school bodybuilder & believed in animal protein as the primary building block of muscle. From experience, animal-based food isn’t the best in maintaining long term good health. I believe that one is never too old to learn, especially when it comes to living healthy, the Vegan and organic way.
There are many different approaches to living a Vegan life style and I am sure they all have good intent and work for people.
However, your approach & teaching style caught my attention because it is simple & plain. I like that your videos show’s an individual how to plan, prepare, shop (crucial step) & demonstrate how to make the actual meals/food/drinks etc…
I’ve consulted with nutritionists & medical doctors but, IMO, they don’t practice what they preach from experience. They don’t have the detailed and finite know how as a living, practicing Vegan, as you are. IMO, your Vegan knowledge is impressive & visually evident in the video information that you share.
What caught me at first about you was that, you stated that you ate about 3,000 calories per day. For someone of your petite (video observation) statue, that is impressive as I know from experience that, eating sustains your “high burning calorie” training/workouts. Plus, this is big for me, you stated & emphasized, “Cardio, Strength, & Stretching.” That is my exact workout philosophy that I’ve always practiced my whole life. My daily workout routine starts with Cardio (treadmill), Stretching (hamstrings, hips, yoga stretches), Core (old school crunches, planks), and Resistance Training (as you put it, Strength).
To me, you’re a “God Send” as I find it more than coincidence that your workout philosophy is simple and similar to my thinking. I used to have training partners in the past & have only once in my life, paid for a personal trainer. After hearing your Cardio, Strength, & Stretching comments, I would sincerely pay to have you be my trainer.
You have definitely rekindled my interests & desire live a Vegan life style. I know my Vegan life won’t change overnight. As I respect & know that you’ve been doing it for several years, I must take the scientific approach by becoming the student & learn step by step & keep track of my progress. I will be in touch & I will be analyzing your Vegan information shared. I know it won’t be easy (as I do have animal protein cravings to deal with & I must detox). I am in the workings of planning & implementing a daily Vegan menu & eating habit.
I will be in Las Vegas this weekend for business. I have researched & have planned to eat a few of the Vegan restaurants there (if you know, I’m open to any suggestions).

Looks yummy, I always add oats to my pancake mix but I don't grind it. I add it first and some water let it sit for a few minuts then I add the rest of the ingredients and make the pancakes. The oats seem to disappear you cant see or feel them😊
I make tiny pancakes and I just use a small (usually 1/4 cup size) measuring cup to pour small pancakes into the pan. My grandma used to make them and called them “silver dollar pancakes” ☺️ I make them small because when I make big ones, I don’t always cook them well.
