I’m glad and blessed by God never to do veganism and I support ex vegans.
I have gas pain
Thank you so much! I turn vegan and your video give me all explanation I need ! Really accurate! Tks
I think that many vegans who face being bloated & constipated may be affected by eating so many phytoestrogen-laden foods! I'd been doing a modified FODMAP diet and doing great- but had I recently added a teaspoon of flax (the motherlode of phytoestrogen) and tablespoon pumpkin seeds (also fairly high in phytoestrogens) daily – and whoa – after a week, I've gained weight (without adding calories) and am bloated & on the constipated side. Something to consider!
I find that cooking (sauté, roast, steam, …) makes the vegetables easier to digest.
Literally took me five years to realise I was sensitive to ONIONS – you know, the first thing I'd put in the pan when cooking anything 😪
Abbey, my preteen son loves to eat beans and legumes more than any other foods, but they give him such bad gas and flatulence! Other than reducing his bean intake, are there any healthy strategies I can encourage to reduce that effect? Thank you so much for your wonderful videos!
So im getting 75 grams of fiber because im eating sooo much vegtables and im scared to not get full if i dont eat what should i do im always like a pregnant woman
I rarely experience bloating, thankfully, that is until I decided to eat vegan for eight weeks. I planned my meals, snacks and eagerly started. The food was fine, delicious and filling but I started bloating. It was uncomfortable enough for me to use probiotics, very little help, and the bloating became painful. I was in pain all day, making me unproductive and grouchy. I decided to stop my vegan trial and my bloating ended and hasn’t returned. I still enjoy plant-based meals regularly, just not exclusively.
I tried putting a tablespoon of turmeric powder into my green tea. Then I took a walk. My tummy feels so much better now. For breakfast I had crock pot beans and that has caused my bloating and stomach pains.
Drink extra water to move along all of the fiber! And SOAK. YOUR. BEANS. Cook some of your veggies too. And ease into it.

have some ginger peppermint tea with lemon juice
add some fennel seed to meals
and take Beano
Doesn't the food in the stomach naturally expand the stomach.. lol? That's what it's for.. people. 😐
dear Abbey (lol), I have searched the internet far and wide on the topic of veganism and bloating and you're one of the few I've gotten specific info from. for me bloating showed up after 10 years on a vegan diet, as well as constipation and digestive issues. I assume this has smthg to do with hormonal changes (??) my eating didn't change nor anythg else. Anyway, thanks 🙂
I’m watching this while eating beans knowing full well I’m about to need this advice in a few hours
If your bloated all.the time could this effect your fertility
I have been vegan for three years now and this is the first time I have ever heard of “fodmaps” so that was something new. I switched to a vegan diet overnight and yes for the first few weeks it was too much fibre but after that digestion as a vegan has been much better for me. I can say few things are worse for bad gas than undigested meat rotting in your colon and that is common as meat is heard to break down. Go vegan! You’ll smell better.
Does gastritis affects or makes bloating worse? I have been eating the same actually…more intuitive for a few years and trying to drink less alcohol cause that made my gastritis worse but lately what has been making my days very uncomfortable and painful has been the bloating. So are those connected?
I always get EXTREMELY bloated and nauseous when I don't eat enough. My stomach hurts and I get dizzy, I even went to the hospital as a kid for this. But I always feel better after I've eaten something. Why is that?
Tbh, I don't even care about a flat tummy, I just don't want the unconfortable feeling that bloating gives me, if I can get rid of that, I'll be happy
does anybody know if these health issues are accompanied with pain in the right side under the breast, around the gallbladder area? I've been having a lot of gas, bloating, constipation and pain in that area and I wonder if it could be a digestive issue…
Thank you. I'm new here but really enjoyed this.
