Guys. lost a ton of weight doesn't need to be hard (I used to think it did). I will give you some advice now. Get a popular diet plan called Okibetonic Secrets (look on google search engine). Thanks to it I've lost a lot of weight. I should not even be talking about it cause I don't really want lots of other guys out there running the same game but whatever. However after my buddy follow it, and finally lost plenty of weight by using it without starving herself. I'm persuaded. Brown rice is zero points fruits and vegetables are zero points. legumes are zero points. I dont like to cook and unplug my stove and oven in my apartment. I have a vegetarian vitamin chewable. my bone doctor gives me vitamin D twice aa month cause I once had malacia. I take metformin. I wish Wisconsin could have a doctor at Doctors for Orifessional Responsibility. I am 212. I already have lost 50 pounds.
I am jealous of people that 100% plant-based work for. I wish I felt good doing it.
I was doing low-carb with meat and all that. I lost some fat (enough that people that hadn't seen me in a while were very surprised and commented on it) and was able to give up acid reflux medication, so things were good, but then I looked into health around 100% plant-based diets and it seemed quite compelling. I thought, wow I need to change my diet. After switching, I found eating this way means reflux return, fatigue, low motivation and fat loss came to a halt.
I am tempted to see if a low-carb 100% plant-based diet would work.
No such thing as a “vegan” diet. Vegan is a way of life about not inflicting harm on animals. Eating is just a result of that, and being on a “vegan” diet doesn’t create weight loss. A “balanced” whole food plant based diet does.

I'm very interested in continuing my plant-based lifestyle. However, this needs to mentioned about the RCT: the CONTROL GROUP OF THE STUDY MADE NO DIETARY CHANGES. Thus, you are comparing a LOWER CALORIE DIET (vegan) to a standard MAINTENANCE CALORIE diet (omnivore). It has been well established that any CALORIC DEFICIT DIET CAUSES THESE METABOLIC CHANGES. It is disingenuous to not mention that this study showed that a plant-based diet produces these metabolic changes vs a standard calorically deficient diet!
Those poor dogs in the lab! Dogs feel fear and pain, but are being subjected to multiple unnecessary surgeries and procedures and being forced to exercise until they succumb to heart and kidney failure, in order to study heart failure and high blood pressure in humans. How about if everyone changes their diet to a low fat vegan diet and then we wouldn't have all this heart disease and hbp, instead of subjecting these poor animals to this cruel and inhumane torture. If we can end animals performing in the circus, surely we should end these horrific experiments on lab dogs. I look at my family's 3 dogs, snuggled up on the bed, all they want is love, affection, attention, a nice walk, some treats now and then, a comfortable place to sleep, and I can't imagine the suffering those poor dogs are going through needlessly in the lab, all alone, afraid, and in pain, in cages, only to be killed and discarded like waste in the end. It just sickens me. Who are the people that are even able to carry out those horrible experiments? Isn't that what some of the worst serial killers did before they started killing people, is tortured animals?

Vegan for the win! :o) I will add that vegans do need to keep an eye on their zinc levels too. Despite taking good multivitamins for years, I got low in zinc and had to way up my dose.

I just read the study — good stuff! Study length (16 weeks), size (244) and design seem pretty solid for a dietary intervention trial. No comment on the analysis or statistical methodology (that stuff is over my head) except that I approve that the folks doing the analysis were group blinded. Also compliance looked great, and the results were very interesting. Thanks, Dr Kahleova!

As a Texan I wasn’t about to give up meat. Then I learned I could eat lots of legumes and LESS meat! Over time, I experimented with various vegetables. Now I seldom eat meat. Yesterday I received detailed lab results from my doctor, all are greatly improved and some are at their very best level possible. 😊

I ate about 1200 grams dry weight or about 4000 calories of plain wheat pasta in one meal last night and I am 115 pounds and 5'8" and I hardly do any excercise now. I eat as much as I want until I'm full and never gain weight. You cannot become fat on a high carb low fat wfpb diet.
