I will definitely give it a try and let you know how it goes, corny but this is the acronym I came up with to help remember all 5. Maybe others will find it helpful too.
S – Stay in a calorie deficient
O – Oil is not your friend
L – Liquid calories count too
I – Include lots of veggies
D – Do it now, so it’s ready for later
SOLID, because it sounds like a “solid” plan of attack for weight lose. Yes, that was bad, but seriously if acronyms help you, this may too.
Excellent points!! Thank you so much.
Great video. I learned alot
Healthy oils are important, just make sure you weigh it out and try to stick to 2 tsp or less a day.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, I found your video by a coinsidence and it makes so much sence – Ive always tought that olive oil is good for you… Im going to start my journey towards a more healthy lifestyle and weight today!
Thank you….!!!!!😊. Your presentation has really helped me gain a lot of clarity and understanding !!’!!! 😻
This I feel is really going to help me to make changes in the way I eat and loose pounds!!!! And lower my A1c ,,, and help my body get on track
Help metabolize sugar better and efficiently.. Thank you 👍🏻❣️
Thank you very much for this video. I find your hacks very useful and hope they help me 🙂 You look very positive, have a nice day!
You don't count calories? So just 3 meals a day and making sure you're eating enough to stay full? I understand you're eating foods with less calories but isn't there a stopping point for how much you can eat?
Thank you for helping others with your experience and knowledge.
No prewash potatoes in my area🤦Well i never seen them.
But how big is the bowl? Looks 1/4 the size of mine. I better get a smaller bowl
Cool presentation!
The biggest way alcohol contributes to weight gain is actually because the body jumps right to processing the alcohol out of the body and other functions kind of downshift. So, the body is busy trying not to get poisoned, and it just starts throwing sugar over to fat storage because it just can't deal with both at once.
The problem is, I don’t eat because I am hungry. I eat because it is good.
So helpful
This is the best video on this I've came across 👌 Thanks heaps. I was so ignorant about the whole oil thing.
Who is going to eat oil just straight up? Comparing oil and zucchini?…no connection at all.
chelsea, I freakin love you – you're such a joy to watch. Thanks for the great info!
Nice talk! I realized the same about breaking the healthy diet most often just because my food is not ready and I am hungry and I eat something like bread or even sweets, something that I can just grab! I have to disagree with the "fat" fear though. I tried myself a very strict diet for several months with zero added sugar, almost zero natural sugar and almost no starchy food. I did ate lots of healthy fat though. And I didn't need to cook and process in my body tons of veggies. I kept eating fats and green mostly leaves veggies, and i saved enourmous amount of time and lost all old ugly fat from my body. As without starch and sugar my body started actually live on fat, not to stock it inside my body. I wouldn't recommend to eat tons of veggies, especially frozen, and then more boiled and cooked and fried, there is not much vital energy left there. And especially to people who already have been on a different sorts of mainstream diets, their guts need to clean, and more tons of processed veggies can make more mess in there. Some healthy fat can clean your body better and give you more precious vitamins and minerals than cooked/boiled/fried/baked AND frozen veggies. Mainly when the oil is organic and cold pressed. It is a precious ingredient (of course without eating too much starch or simple sugars).
For a non-stick pan – I avoid Teflon because of the harmful chemical coating, but I another option is an iron pan. I love my cast iron pan and it is naturally nonstick. And it adds extra iron to my food, an essential mineral. 🙂
Thanks for the tips!
I really enjoyed watching this informative video and the pictures of how you explained it! Thank you!!
Olive oil is very good for cognitive health. This woman is not a professional.
Great information!!!!
It was a light bulb moment for me when I realized oil calories are just as empty as granulated white sugar. Super great video. I especially liked the last part about not giving up.
Good god your so right about having food ready. When I don’t have things prepared I eat things I shouldn’t.
That calorie density chart is really surprising. I would never have guessed that bread and nuts are more calorie dense than ice cream!
This is so great! I love how your tips are so simple and easy to incorporate into a busy lifestyle 🙌
So many good tips! Thanks so much!
Thanks Chelsea. Great tips. :). What is your opinion of Okinawan sweet potatoes. When they are baked they are like cake to me. I Am thinking about eating them a lot along with veggies as a strategy for my weight loss.
Awesome enthusiasm! Was great hearing all these ideas! It’s cool that the expectations are realistic. I’ve been a plant based eater for over nine years. Weight wise it’s been a journey of ups and downs. I gained a bunch during the covid year. But am down 35lbs doing most of what you recommend. I’ve also incorporated following a 8:16 hr plan along with eating my largest meal for breakfast , then a little less for lunch, then just soup and salad for dinner, which depending on my hunger level will add a starch. Someone told me this eating is like a king, queen and pauper. Thanks again!!
Thanks so much!!
I could not buy all those vegetables in plastic bags. Plastic has to be reduced.
I like you great video!
People in general do not eat enough fat, I am confused about you advising to cut oil… Sugar is a problem, definitely not oil (at least unsaturated fats).
I just ate 10 Medjool dates, washed down with a glass of water, couldn’t stop…

He mostly addresses why its do hard for diabetics and pdople who afe insuli. Resistance need to intermittent fast to lower dugar along e eat more fat. Im so confused!!
Thank you so much!!!! You were what I needed to see at this moment. I went vegan (from vegetarian) 4 yrs ago and I immediately lost 34 lbs. Ive gained 10 -15 lbs during the pandemic. I have gotten back on track and have lost 10 lbs. Im working on toning now and hopefully a little more weight loss. This was just what I needed to hear. Thank you
Dear Chelsea, the no-oil idea is very dangerous for your health and the health of all your followers. If you have a ton of vegetable with no oil, NONE of the fat-soluble vitamins actually get in your body. So over time you will get vitamin short and malnutrition. Please please do not promote this.
Great video thanks 😀
Avoiding oil because of the calories isn't always the best way. Oils are great for you and shouldn't be skipped entirely 🙂
yo this was very helpful, you are a genius!
I use so much oil in my cooking. Its crazy to see the comparison in calories between zucchinis and oil
11:19 Ohh what happened to your daughter?
Brilliant video, thanks so much
