Do you think substituting cashews with peeled almonds would work? I can't have cashews due to their high fructans content, but this cream looks so good.

The Cilantro Cashew cream and Ginger Sriracha are weekly staples. I've shared these cashew creams with friends/family and they love them. I always get the comment that they look for any foods to eat with these creams because they're that good. I need to try the other ones in pdf. Thank you for these recipes!
I loved the idea of this recipe, but had to make so many changes that it hasn't been the best version of itself ๐ ๐ I hope to achieve such creaminess and a tastier version another time. I mean still, it's quite tasty ๐
If it may help someone:
– As cashews are expensive where I live, I tried with almonds, and even though I never tried with cashews, it seems a good substitute.
– You reaallly need a good food processor for it to be creamy like Nisha's. Otherwise its still good, but it will ve a bit chunky even with the liquid you put it in.
– Vegeta is a great add on (but be careful about the saltiness, or it will be a bit too salty like mine ๐๐ )
Your " suracha " version doesn't give a red colour to the cream… strange.. no?

Does it make a difference in taste if you use soaked aka fresh cashews or if you use cashew butter? Just curious. I tried it with cashew butter and it was delicious.

I made the cinnamon vanilla version this week and it taste amazing!! I put it on a rice cake for breakfast. This will be my go-to cashew cream recipe..I canโt wait to try the other flavors!!
You can also add cooked white beans or tofu if the taste of cashew too strong.

Is there a vegan source for lactic acid? Maybe it would taste more convincing than vinegar for the acid if youโre trying to approximate cultured dairy.
I think it will blend quicker and more smoothly if you donโt add all the liquid at once. Use just enough liquid to keep it moving (lubricate the solid particles). If you add too much โlubricantโ at once, all the solid particles are just sloshing around instead of mashing up against each other and breaking up. Use the friction to your advantage.

This is actually great. Iโm looking to incorporate more plant based staples in my diet but dislike that some vegan substitutes are monotonous. Can you please make a video on how to diversify substitutes so itโs more than just nuts and coconut?
is cashew cream the same as cashew butter?
If you have a Vitamix, it is not necessary to soak the cashews. My cashew cream is ultra smooth in 30 seconds.
Also, you can put whole vanilla bean into the Vitamix. I never have to scrape the vanilla beans; it is great! ๐

Why do you use nutritional yeast in some of these recipes? Does the flavor enhance the dish or is the dish a place to "hide" this ingredient and its benefits? I like to pulverize NYeast to a powder in my coffee grinder, then sprinkle on popcorn. Trying to imagine the taste in recipes like these.
