I made the pumpkin pie yesterday. It tasted good. However, it didn't taste exactly like pumpkin pie. The coconut was defenitely noticeable when my guests tasted it.
This recipe scarred my liking to ever trying pumpkin pie ever again. Whoever is reading this please DO NOT make this you’ll regret it.

What a terrible pie!!!! Waste of $15+ worth of ingredients and all that time and effort. Worst aftertaste ever. I was embarrassed to have even served it! It was so runny like pudding in a flavorless pie crust. YUCK.

Okay I made it but I'm going to bake this pie I'm not eating it raw
How do you cut the pumpkin when it's hard as a helmet? :/ I'm thinking it'd be easier to cut it in half, and place it hard side up in the oven to bake for about 45min in order to soften it. Cause I read that once you take it out the outer skin comes off easily.
I wonder if adding gelatin would help ensuring that the pie sets since so many people had problems with it being runny. It makes me hesitate trying it out because it does look delicious. Or adding agar agar to keep it vegan?

I would just like to say thank you to the maker of this video! I have run into some recent health conditions and I am forced to go vegan. Pumpkin pie was always my favorite food and once I found out I had to go vegan I thought that I could never eat my favorite foods again. But thanks to you and others like you I can eat almost any food I want…so I just wanted to give my thanks and to say to keep making these videos!

Followed the recipe exact and let sit for 8+ hours in fridge and when I went to cut it was a watery mess, and honestly didn't taste very well. Like overly spiced custard on almond. Put it in the freezer to see it it improves by tomorrow

i made everything according to the recepie, i did however missread the last part so i put my pie in the freezer instead, the next day irealized this and took it out and let it sit in roomtemprature for a few hour before trying it.
When i finally was gonna try it, it was way way to soft almost like it was before i even put it in the freezer.
I then put it back in the fridge over night again but it didn't improve at all still just as soft.
DId i destroy it by putting it in the freezer or has anyone else had this problem with it being way to soft?
In the video the pie is nice and firm, mine didn't even come anything close to that.

the type of food processor i have is cheap so i dont think the squash will shred can i use my vitamix
