TEMECULA, CA — A free fair this weekend in Old Town Temecula to benefit Animal Friends of the Valleys and Barks of Love will be family and pet-friendly — with many activities and shows — but visitors to the area will need to be aware of street closures.
The Pawliday Vegan Market and Charity Pet Supply Drive events take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 41000 Main Street. The fair will promote pet adoptions and will feature vegan food and other specialty vendors, music, and kid’s activities.
Donations are also being accepted at the events to benefit Animal Friends of the Valleys and Barks of Love. The organizations are in need of the following: gift cards, pet toys, pet food, pet treats, laundry and dish soap, trash bags, blankets, pet beds and crates.
Wildomar-based Animal Friends of the Valleys is the local animal shelter for Temecula and surrounding cities.
To get ready for the weekend events, portions of Main and Mercedes streets will close to motorized traffic beginning at 10 a.m. Friday. Streets will not reopen until 6 p.m. Saturday, according to the city. The easterly driveway edge of 41964 Main Street will close to Mercedes Street; and Mercedes Street will close from Third Street to Fourth Street. See the street closure map:
