My exact position! I refuse to be part of the horrible animal products industry but my husband refuses to be educated and take a stance, I don't have an income myself so I feel guilty asking him to pay for extra foods for me

I love you guys. I watch you guys all the time to make sure I am doing things right and getting educated in vegan nutrition. I am losing weight slowly but I am not exercising at the moment. I am trying to concentrate on veganism and health first then might start to walk first.

what I'm confused about is why did those doctors say our g.i. tract is carnivorous? I'm eating plant based anyways but I'm just curious! 🙂

I started as a plant based diet, listening to you guys has made me realize the ethical points. With a handicapped brother, it makes me feel even worse thinking about the victim being me OR especially him

My husband hated me going vegan. I was so scared to tell him I didn't till I had been for a month (I was vegetarian so he didn't notice) My main statement of his dislike and excuses was you cannot dictate what I put in my mouth. I cannot see how eating banana's all day is a bad thing. (My blender died so monoing my remaining 15 pounds of banana's.

You know what you are saying? You are a faulire if you are not 100 %. Like why diets fail(besides being hungry and malnutritioned), when you have that one cookie, you say: "I ruined it. Have no self control. I am not worthy of love." And you eat all the food you find.
Maybe people also need a pat on the pack for the effort. It is bias, but aren't vegans all about love? Where is the love towards humans? Who causes pain and torture? The tortured ones.
I do like how you stress out personal responsibility.
For me, as I had (many) health resons for plant based diet, i also get more "understanding". But some vegans beside me were vegans "on a mission". Not only they get ignored, but they create resistance.
I find that by being an example, healthy and happy that gets people curious – is the way to intrige anyone.
By only attacking, how a person fails another part of their life, they can become passive. Kind regards.

Hello, That Vegan Couple! I used to eat Paleo (but allowed cheese cause I didn't realize paleo excluded cheese:/) it was working for me (partly because I was doing primarily shakes and doing the Insanity workouts) and then when I went to the beach that summer, i continued to eat healthy but with a calorie restriction (I did 1500 calories, but TO THE TEE). I felt like I looked great and i loved that. But after the beach, when i couldn't count calories anymore because of every day life, I started eating nuts and nut butters ( A LOT OF THEM). I was eating REALLY low carb (as I had when I started to loose weight) and found my self uncontrollably eating so much nut butter. In a few months, I gained around 20 pounds. It was so awful. I didn't feel good about myself or my body. I couldn't stop eating so much fat in the form of nut butter. Then, about 1 month ago, I decided to do a 10 day juice cleanse, and after that, decided to eat Vegan after feeling so great on the cleanse. I watched Forks Over Knives and decided I wanted to do whole-food, plant-based specifically (since getting healthy i have always consumed whole foods). I have done really good so far and am not eating nuts or nut butters as near as much! I often don't even want it (even though I am still working on eating around 10 – 15% fat only). My actual question is this: I am 16, and can my age keep me from being toned and really fit? I do cardio and body-weight strength training 6 days a week, but still have large amounts of gathered fat around my hips, lower belly, and arms. I just want to be as fit as possible (without restricting calories). It can be upsetting when I think of myself at the beach and looking so slim, when it seems I can't attain that now. Please help, thanks! – Abby

This is a very interesting and important distinction to make. I've attempted to eat a 100% plant-based diet several times over the years and always failed. I say "plant-based" now because that's what it actually was, even though I thought I was going "vegan". I don't think I ever truly understood the distinction between a plant-based diet and veganism until recently. I used the terms interchangeably and just thought that some people were "ethical vegans" and some were "health-related vegans", etc. Now I understand that ALL "vegans" are "ethical vegans" and someone who eliminates animal foods from their diet for health reasons may NOT be vegan.

Thank you, great video!!!! I just started few weeks ago from being 25 years vegetarian, no milk drinker, but organic cheese eater….. to 100% vegan..because of my compassion to the world, animals and and because of common sense, and knowledge, that milk is not good for me. I just got one important question!!! I know some really, really fat vegans…and that might has to do with consumption of too much organic wholegrain bread, rice and pasta and carbs…So- whenever I come across people loosing weight and saying;: I lost my weight by a highcarb vegan diet- they mean raw fruit! Right? All raw? Do you also mean RAW FOOD? Because, I am sorry to say..I do not live in Australia, nor in California, its freezing cold here in Europe..and I have tried it-its impossible for me to be raw. Its also got to do with lack of sunshine. The daily life-feeling here is grey and rainy,,hot soups, and cooked foot supports emotionally. If I live near a beach or in a tropical country..to be a raw food eater would be extremely easy for me. I did it before for few month..but back here…Impossible. So: CAN i BE SKINNY AND ALSO COOK MY VEGAN FOOD AND IF; WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST? I dont wanna get fat like some vegand I know of. No bread?-. No rice? or how? Thank you for your support!!! Great video! <3

I am so so SO frustrated. I have gained 10lbs going raw vegan. What am I doing wrong? I am so SAD about how my body has changed doing this. I eat a Lot of greens, and fair amount of fruit, and still gaining weight. What can I do???

Even if paleo was healthy, which it TOTALLY is not, it requires you to eat tons of dead flesh and the oozing's and dripping's that come out of animals?? Which is FULL of cholesterol and saturated fat! The leading killer today is coronary heart disease!……..which comes from cholesterol and saturated fat! This stuff is ONLY in animal products!!? So most people are paying to consume pain and suffering (animal products) which then just causes sickness and death! 🙁 People need to wake up!

Lovely video guys, you communicate these values in a genuine way that isn't disconnecting. It's very easy to get technical when advising someone but you come across like you're addressing them personally. Good stuff 🙂

When I married my husband I started eating vegan.  My son was a teenager.  After about 2 months my son said "mom, did we stop eating meat".  I did not make a big deal about it..This is a boy that would be out with friends and ask for a hamburger without the meat.  He loved a bun and the veggies.. I am anxious to watch your playlist.  Keep up the good work.  I love watching you guys, you look so healthy and enjoy the vids.
