The plant-based burger restaurant Slutty Vegan has taken another step toward expanding into Columbus.
Slutty Vegan announced on its social media platforms the demolition of the former China Express building on Manchester Expressway. That’s where Slutty Vegan, headquartered in Atlanta, plans to open its fifth location, all in Georgia.
The other four are at:
- 1542 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. SW in Atlanta
- 476 Edgewood Ave. SE in Atlanta
- 164 N. McDonough St. in Jonesboro
- 2045 Pleasant Hill Road, Duluth.
According to its website, Slutty Vegan CEO Pinky Cole founded the business in July 2018. She started by selling her signature burgers from her apartment via Instagram. A few weeks later, she was filling orders around Atlanta and serving burgers from a food truck. And three months later, she opened the first Slutty Vegan restaurant.
Like the restaurant’s name, the menu includes provocatively titled plant-based burgers, such as the Fussy Hussy ($15), One Night Stand ($16) and Menage A Trois ($19). Even the faux hot dog ($15), chicken ($15) and shrimp ($14) sandwiches aren’t made from animals.
The Ledger-Enquirer didn’t reach a Slutty Vegan official for comment before publication.
