Fans of Atlanta-area restaurant Slutty Vegan may want to get in line now for the popular plant-based eatery’s Athens location. According to a news release, the business will open in May.
The Athens “outpost” will be housed in Suite 800 of the 700 Baxter St. development and will be the chain’s fifth location since founder and CEO Pinky Cole opened the restaurant as a “ghost kitchen” in 2018 with order-only service. The Athens location will be take-out or carry-out only with no dining area.

Aside from provocatively-named menu items such as the “One Night Stand” and the “Fussy Hussy,” Slutty Vegan’s appeal comes from the fact that its hours of operation are later than vegan restaurants typically are open, and Slutty Vegan boasts a 100% plant-based menu.
“We’re excited to open Slutty Vegan in one of the country’s greatest college towns in our home state and bring our vibes and more vegan options to the Classic City,” said Cole.
Businesses already open at 700 Baxter include Wild Side Smoke Shop, University Spirit gift shop and Newk’s restaurant, with Choco Pronto coffee, Push Pilates and Suchero’s Tex-Mex listed as “coming soon.”
