Excellent! But hmmm, isn’t all food “plant based”? Even meat … everything we eat is or comes from plants. Using the term “plant based” seems like a marketing tool …. Am I missing something?

You really don't need to go 100% plant based. I reckon 80-90% is still very good. A little bit of meat, fish , etc can't be that bad.
Certainly better than 80-90% rubbish and only a minor amount of fruit, veg

Compassion for animals ? Not at the expense of people suffering with autoimmune diseases and chronic pain that only found relief by eating red meat . I decided to try the Keto diet , it’s been over a month now and I’ve never felt better . My hip bursitis pain is reduced greatly , my energy increased my occasional sadness decreased, I lost inches around my waist 5 weeks in . Meat is not the enemy !! Eat it and see ! If people say they tried Keto and it didn’t work for them then my questions to them is “were you eating a clean Keto diet and were you snacking and intermittence fasting?’
Clean keto is key ,not snaking is important and intermittence fasting is necessary.
As far as carbon footprint;consider plant based foods are travelling by truck everyday to get to your local supermarket and if you’re eating almond products you shouldn’t judge anyone eating meat .

Strange how TEDx has a disclaimer that Dr Kong is recommending a diet that "lacks sufficient scientific evidence for general prescription". She gives plenty of evidence and eating animals is, in fact, a carcinogen, as she point out. Corporate greed at work, deceive and lie.

We the consumers have the power to choose what we buy and from where. It's the only thing we have to stand against conglomerates and their supply chains. Focus your energy into something positive, the rest will take care of itself. Time heals moving in the right direction.

I am Polynesian. Ate meat since young and 41 yrs old now. I couldn't help but tear up when it was story time. I have recently become vegetarian and I have experienced the benefits. I have realized I am also an empath. Spirituality woken. Now I am helping my mother to go through the transition.

There will still be animals if people stop eating them. They walk around on four feet and poop. They will save the soil. Have you lived in a city your entire life? Nature is beautiful. You don't have to be in it all the time, but to never have experienced nature is sad.
