Hey Lauren, soy curls are actually not made from TVP. TVP is highly processed, soy curls are made simply from dehydrated soy beans. They’re two different foods.

I love Hot For Food, but why do you (Lauren) always add apple cider vinegar AND lemon juice in your recipes? It makes things way too acidic. I always do either lemon juice OR apple cider vinegar. I recently made the tofu Benedict recipe from the cookbook and the hollandaise was too acidic after adding both acv and lemon juice. I looked at the OG hollandaise recipe on the HFF website and it only used lemon juice. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

I had the ingredients for the chicken shawarma so made it last night for dinner and loved it! Didn't make the bowl but had wheat tortillas so chopped up some lettuce, parsley and cucumbers that I had in the fridge, made tahini dressing and my husband ate three of them … this recipe is a keeper! I missed chicken shawarma so this was a real treat and I thank you for coming up with a great recipe and sharing it .. you.re awesome 🙂

Farro is my 2019 grain as well. I've been making it every week, along with mustardy de puy lentils and then just add whatever steamed veggies I want, your mushroom bacon and some sort of sauce. Mmmm…

Are soy curls the same as tvp or soy chunks? It looks different, more like chicken texture and less spongy.
I was confused when you said farro because I pronounce it soooo different. I pronounce it fah-rroh, rather than fair-roe.
