Veggie's washed throughly is actually an extremely wise. If you understand that we are still in the midst of the covid pandemic, handled your food in the healthiest way possible is necessary to control your foods cleanliness and your overall health.
The is the first video recommending of yours and I'm happy to find it! It's nice to see someone else eating WFPB but also having a couple "processed" things around like the alt cheeses and stuff. The WFPB no salt, oil etc community can be so toxic with perfectionism. I've been eating this way for 7ish years and spent a majority of it feeling guilty for eating a drop of oil or sprinkle of salt. Not anymore. I eat my WFPB foods and love them and use salt and "processed foods" occasionally without guilt.
Also I'm soooo bummed that vegan chickenless seasoning is discontinued 🙁 I've been looking for it everytime I go to TJs. It tasted like top ramen seasoning haha
Eating fresh food is always good for the body and health. A lot of nutrients and vitamins will be lost and not available to the body when we eat the pre cooked food. However, I like the veggie prep ideas and soup recipe . Cheers.
It looks almost like my grocery shopping this week. 🤤
When I bring my greens in from the garden, I put cold water in the sink with a bit of white vinegar….kills the bugs and saves on water.
I’ve never been able to prep my veg like that and not have it go bad. How do you put wet lettuce in a box and not have in mould in 2 days?!
lettuce turnip the beet !!!
I don't peel veggies, or fruit, unless the peel is inedible. You throw away so much fiber, and vitamins
You must not be in CA the way you were washing your veggies.
Don't bother peeling your raw beets. Instead, boil them. Then you can just rub the skins off with your fingers once they are cool! So easy! You can then chop up your beets and store them in a container in your fridge.
I love your idea to use a drying rack for drying your greens.
I love watching how you prepped veg after bringing it home. It's helpful to see how other people choose to cut (meaning what shapes and sizes, etc.) and store the veg. More vids like these, please!
Thank you for sharing! Could you share more plant based recipes? 🙂
Thanks for the video! Just curious, between the shopping and meal prep, how long did it take?
This is the first video I have seen of yours and found it really helpful! I just subscribed and look forward to more of these type of videos. Feeling inspired to do this myself!
You are one of the best on Youtube when it comes to washing veggies properly and efficiently! 💫👌🧑🍳🥬🥦🍏
Your videos are very comforting and inspiring to watch. 🌈✨🌻🧚♀💖💖💕
Sensitive comment beware: No, I agree with you to thoroughly wash your greens. I once got celery – organic , from a well known healthy food chain in the US and got it home peeled off the stalks and there was … a roach in between where the celery is all kind of connected at the bottom. Wach your greens, from all the "elements, bugs and possible floor dropping that can be done. You can put a small bit of vinegar in your water as well if you're on a budget and can't afford veg cleaner.
Look more like a burrito. But hey it was your first time. Good job 👍🏾
My favorite way to clean my grapes is to put a good bit of baking soda in a large bowl and add vinegar enough to dissolve it. Then fill the rest up with water. I soak them for at least 20 mins, then rinse thoroughly and leave them in the colander to dry. I feel like they taste better and they last longer in the fridge. Vinegar and baking soda would probably work great on veggies as well.
The soup was sweet because you added a lot of carrots 🙂
I love raw beets so crunchy and delicious
Great video! The Hemp Hearts should be refrigerated after opening.
When I have older veg, I plan my meals around those first to use them up quickly
The soup was a good opportunity to use cabbage too.
I watch this, make my list come home and do it. Thank you for these videos.
A person being suddenly behind you was a little freaky
My husband and I need to start eating plant based. He had a heart attack in Feb at the age of 47 -plus diabetes. I appreciate this video! I need all the ideas 💡
Try putting a clean tea cloth in your containers(1 on bottom and 1 on top) to absorb the extra moisture and keeps it fresh longer and less soggy
hemp hearts are supposed to be refrigerated. i missed that on the bag at first too lol
Wow that feels like so much wasted water for no reason every week? I get that some ppl are anal abt their food but those all seemed like they were very clean and prewashed? I wonder if american food is so much more dirtier then in my country or what? Also do you usually eat the peels of beets and carrots? I dont usually bother washing things that I peel anyway unless I use the peels for veg broth.
