When my husband and I went vegan, we cut off our cable. We have more fun cooking and eating then watching cable. We still have netflix, but we cut $30 out of our monthly bill by cutting the cable. Of course, we eat a hell of a lot healthier than him. Bananas at our local farmer's market are 49 cents a pound.

I spend so little to stay low-fat vegan. Back when I 1st began and was eating soy burgers I was spending a good bit.
I spend very little on my haul of fruits and veggies. About 45 dollars U.S money got me a week and a half worth of food in the winter from my local supermarket.
People always complain about how expensive it is to go vegan.. but then buy 10 dollar lattes, drive for the 4 blocks they could have jogged or walked, pay the meter, buy expensive scent repellents like deodorant or fruity shampoo, pay 14.50 for their eat-out dinner and sugar filled coke cause they're too lazy to cook, then go home and pay extra to do their laundry cause they stink so bad. I spend 6-8 dollars a day on raw fruit(2.2k calories) and never stink, plus jog everywhere cause I feel good
Dude, CANNED beans instead of whole legumes bought in bulk? Quaker oats? I feed my family of 4 on a fraction of this…no spending 100 dollars every week for the 4 of us either. Ditch the pre-cooked stuff, man.
actually if you are very good with math and keeping track of your TDEE (calories to maintain weight) nothing will make you fat!! not donuts, not fat, not meat, not carbs etc. simple law of thermogenics. that is if weight loss is your only goal and can care less about what you eat.
please subscribe me if you re interested in a weight loss progress documentary. My diet is to eat unlimited carbs, low fat and very low sodium. I tried it for 4 days before and lost more than a pound per day . Lets see if i can proove that carbs dont make you fat but lean. Salt makes you gain weight, if you eat more carbs that usually means more salt = more water retention = weight gain. I dont eat added salt at all in my program. Please subscribe!
Even though Jeff Novick's diet is good for weight loss, it is still an unhealthy diet. It's full of processed crap. Remember, 99% of a time, food in a package is garbage. These are not live foods. Raw, ripe fruit and veg is where it's at.

@ durianrider….Lol….you are right….but there are some of us in this world who MUST work graveyard shift….for a period of time….for what ever reasons…..idk…. I av cut it down to 1 graveyard shift per week…for now,But….one thing I know for sure…Im Avoiding eatting

@everyone…..there are a whole lot of theories abt the cause of diabetes….fat in the bloodstream from high fat diet….and mucus in the pancreaus from too much acid……..2 theories….idk? But im gonna stay away from high fat and mucus forming acidic foods……..thats just me

True, US is the cheapest place to live and eat but it's most expensive place to get medical treatment in for the illness one acquires from eating the cheap, non-labelled GMO, foods.

@durianrider….its kinda hard to stop working nights….i have cut it down to one night per week……its kinda addictive…..but im committed to kicking the habit, I did research on line….and parsley is the highest source if iron for vegans ….i had a whole bunch of it today…it helped…im trying to completely stop nights…..i am!….gimmie some credit!
@iamaheron False; diabetes is caused by excess fat in the cells/bloodstream. I have no proof that hell exists, but I'm willing to bet my life on the reality of some sort of higher judgment, in whatever form that may take. Those who do good works shall be rewarded, just as those who live selfishly shall be punished. There is a universal justice. It may just be a life of disease and unhappiness on Earth is all that awaits you, I don't really know the answer to existential questions like that.
@iamaheron Meat causes diseased arteries, cancer, diabetes, osteoporosis, etc. Dairy causes type I diabetes, multiple sclerosis and cancer as well. Plant based foods make you healthy, lean and strong. You can choose wisely and eat a healthy plant based diet, or if you're a fool, you can choose a diet high in animal products which will lead you down the path of disease and suffering; you'll also rot in hell for ignoring your moral conscience.
@iamaheron I don't know, but you keep bringing it up, not me. Humans are members of the great ape family; apes who generally eat 95%-99% vegetarian in nature. Humans are not true omnivores; not by design anyway. If we were true omnivores, we would REQUIRE meat in our diets to be healthy. We don't; eating corpses has the opposite effect. It makes people fat and sick. Why? because it is not what our bodies are designed to eat.
@iamaheron Humans don't live like animals. We don't live naturally anymore, so you're incorrect on #1. 2: dietary cholesterol most definitely clogs arteries and causes heart attacks/strokes. That's why people who consume little to no cholesterol have nice, clean, disease-free arteries. Those who eat death and dairy products have filthy diseased arteries like yours.
