the biggest mistake is putting your ego before your child and feeding him vegan that is the biggest mistake. I dont think you understand that noone is hating on you, we know where veganism leads as we have been down this road. Its crazy enough for a fully developed adult to do this long term but doing it to a baby.. that honestly deserves a prison sentence. HUMBLE yourself and put animal foods infront of him next to the vegan garbage and see what he chooses

Loved #4! Judgement toward anyone or feeling better than other people always a big fat NO! It's so unappealing. Thank you for keeping it real!

Love Colleen Patrick-Goudreau! I’ve been slowly working my way through , and it has changed the way I exist in the world as a vegan. I don’t have any vegan friends. I have a few plant based (but not vegan) family members. When I first became vegan, it was so hard to be around people who were constantly supporting animal cruelty and seemingly throwing it in my face. My brother would cook bacon. My aunt would flaunt leather. My friend would order chicken flesh at a restaurant. The look – the smell! I just wanted to cry and shake them, like “Do you have any idea what you’re supporting?! Do you realise that that was a someone – not a something – who wanted to live, and yet lived a life of torture from birth until death?! Have you no compassion? How can you love this dog over here, and yet not care for the life of the pig, whose body parts are now on your plate?” Of course, I didn’t say these things, I just cried, or usually excused myself and cried, or tried to pretend I didn’t know that person was consuming a dead animal (but that’s not easy, because…the smell).

has taught me to have compassion for those who don’t have compassion for the animals whose abuse they support. It’s taught me to remember that veganism is my choice for me, and it has to be someone else’s own choice, too. It’s taught me to plant seeds, but to play the long game – to not become invested in every seed I plant. It’s taught me to have boundaries. I may be able to choose how I spend my own money, what I wear, what I put in my mouth and on my body, what I keep and allow in my house; but it is not up to me what anyone else puts in her mouth or on her body, wears, keeps in her house, or how anyone spends her own money. It’s taught me that I can love a person and share many values with him, and still disagree with that person on vegan values.

Veganism nearly killed me. I became the animal my body ate.

What a great video! Thank you. I love the idea of compassion being the goal and not perfection. I do enjoy a bite of non-vegan dessert and sometimes I feel guilty about that but I don’t want to feel guilty for not being perfect. Thanks for your videos!

If you claim to be a vegan, profit off promoting veganism…then u are a total fraud if U eat animal products off camera and don’t tell your followers. Total fraud. Are u sneaking in animal products Hannah ? And if u are, thats fine…but I do think u should be honest about it. I know that is hard to do because the vegan community can be ruthless on those who leave veganism or eat a bit of fish/eggs here and there… I’m not trying to sound rude…I wish u the best of health. You are a beautiful woman, u have pure good intentions. 🌲🦅🌲

My family really took umbrage with me when I became vegan. Their idea of veganism back then was built on common public opinion- apparently, vegans are disliked in society almost as much as drug addicts!
My family thought I was judging them, even though I wasn’t. I quietly got on with it and three years later, most of them are vegan now too.

I wish I didn't get attacked at the dinner table after 8 years of being vegan, so that's why I stopped going to family dinners as often ( I can take the hate for 1 day a year)

Thank you Hannah. You have definately been such an inspiration and part of my journey going plant based just 6 months ago. Im not fully vegan as I eat a friends honey and occasional friends local eggs. I plan on cutting out the eggs. Quitting meat was so terrifying because the stigma around veganism. I even had my doc tell me I should eat meat due to having Hashimotos. Don’t eat soy she said. Well I do! And all these small moments of panic with people trying to convince me I needed meat I stood strong and didn’t give in. Being vegan you are a minority and its scary at times. I live in alaska where it is rare to have many vegans around. Lots of hunting and meat eating here. I know I will never go back to eating meat. And I actually gained a few pound despite the stigma around getting skinny and sickly. I just appreciate all your info you share! Thank you

We raise our own chickens. They lay eggs everyday and we eat them. Absolutely no harm done to the chickens and we are healthier for eating the eggs.

Hannah on my vegan diet, my biggest issue is that I don't seem too get enough daily calories so my energy level drops. The next, is food prep, I live in the middle of the Arizona desert in a small town, so lack of access means I have to make everything from scratch…but I'm hanging in there.. Much love and blessings young lady, you're a joy to watch, and your sister too.

I think vegans need to talk more about the true root of veganism ie. compassion. Our goal is love and peace. When people were making those “no longer vegan” videos there was a serious lack of compassion and love. I get that it’s upsetting but humans are animals too.
A side note: I just bought fiber fueled and the cookbook and I’m so excited to read it. I’ve been trying to heal sibo while being vegan and it’s not a great time, I’m not gonna lie. Excited to dive into this book.

I have been vegan/vegetarian for 12 years, and it is not as easy as you and Ellen make it look. The things you and Ellen eat are not appealing to me, especially the salads you eat, and when you have a lot of food intolerances to gluten and avocado, it makes your menu quite limited.
The truth is, since I became plant based, I have gained 50lbs lost 30lbs regained 40lbs and my weight has been a constant battle.
It is very hard being plant based in this processed food, animal eating world, and I am guessing that is why many people give up after awhile.

I do not believe in veganism but I also do believe that there should just be respect. All around food is food. Whatever one chooses to eat is their choice. From a Christian perspective God said we are allowed to eat animals but like I said whatever one chooses to eat is fine.

Okay I know this was about being vegan but I’m over here crying because the way you worded reason number 3. I really needed to hear it the way you stated it when it comes to my life in general.

I wanted to add- when I take that bite of a donut or cake I mentioned earlier, I dont want more, it just reminds me of how important it is to be vegan or even plant based for those helpless animals.🐂🐖🐑🐣

You made some very valid and user friendly points! I made many of those errors myself. I now know what does and doesn't work for me with my body (I have an elongated, twisted colon). certain foods do not work well for me, wish they did, but I just do the best I can. I used to not want to eat around the meat eaters, but it doesnt bother me as much now. I'm not always "perfect" myself and occasionally take a bite of a donut or cake once in a while if I am at someone's house. Thanks again!

Love your energy Hannah! Thanks for sharing your journey. I can totally relate. People will allways find a reason not to do or start new things especially when it's out of their comfort zone. But really from my point of view..I've never regretted any steps out of my comfort zone and I always try to remember that. 🙏
