Launched in 2020 by a stylish lawyer-nutritionist sister duo, the Lower East Side destination is indeed the world’s first oat milk “ice créme” shop, whipping up dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free, soy-free, and gluten-free (whew) creations. And with beyond indulgent options like Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel, Coffee Waffle Crunch, and Salted Pecan, it’s hard to believe these treats are vegan and even, dare we say, diet-friendly?
Since debuting, it didn’t take long for Orchard Street’s best-kept secret to become quite the phenomenon. They’ve not only expanded to offer nationwide shipping through Goldbelly but are also opening up an outpost in LA.
Of course, the OG location is as buzzing as ever, with vegans and non-vegans alike lining up for a taste (and an Instagram pic). The only snag? The shop is currently only open Friday through Sunday, though it’s certainly worth planning your weekend around.
