A beloved vegan doughnut shop is back in business after it closed eight years ago in Sacramento. Doughbot made its big return at a new shop with new owners.The shop closed in 2014. But now they’re back and had a soft opening on Tuesday. Sacramento doughnut fans were happy about their return. The line was out the door and around the building in the morning. Doughbot is known for its robot-themed decor and vegan donuts with unique flavors, including Blasters on Cereal Milk, Lavender Lemonade and The Dude. “Veganism has come so forward in this new time. The recipes are really good. They’re advanced now, and you can’t even taste the difference between vegan dough and regular dough. So, we figured it out. We nailed it, and now we’re moving forward,” said Kevin Khasigian with Doughbot. You can find the new Doughbot opened on 10th Street near Southside Park.
