Veganism IS anorexia
Same in most cases.
Veganism is anti human and and anti nature also.
Dr. Dray
I've been eating disorderd for nearly 40 years. I went vegan 4 and a half years ago for the animals. It's certainly not a diet or to hide anything. It's a lifestyle . In fact, you can eat anything you want (animal-free, of course) as a vegan, and be any size. So people who say they went vegan to lose weight are not vegan. They're plant-based .. and I wish that they'd make that distinction, because there's an important difference. I try to live as cruelty-free beyond my plate, as possible.. but someone who was on a vegan diet likely wouldn't care less.
I started out vegetarian as a way of self harm more than 10 years ago. It also led to me eating less and eventually weighing 8 and half stone for a 5ft 5 male. It certainly affected my health after all those years. I eat meat again now, and have begun to feel better, but the damage is already done and now I'm on medication for life.
lolol i stopped eating meat because it's easier to starve myself like this
my mom adds meat to basically everything so in stead of saying i'm not hungry i can just say like it was your decision to add meat
I have an eating disorder but I am vegan because animal products make me physically sick
But my eating disorder did come first
I also used veganism to proliferate my eating disorder and make it more acceptable to friends , then went whole food based and no grains and kept limiting more and more . I am no longer vegan and happy about it and trying to recover
I’m vegan but actually for the animals and environment but when ever I see other vegans I get so worried that they are actually doing it to control the eating
hold up…there’s a cooking gcse??
just a reminder that NOT ALL VEGANS have an unhealthy relationship with food, yet a lot do! be mindful of your intentions and don’t change your diet if you’re not in a super healthy place with food<33
this might sound horrible but it just really annoys me how all these girls with eating disorders go vegan and then put out the idea that veganism is bad for your mental health or something, when it’s not, it’s because they had an eating disorder! it’s just frustrating for vegans like me that truly are in it for the animals, who are trying to help animals and encourage others to because people now always associate being vegan with having anorexia and it’s because of stuff like this on tv and youtube!
i’m not blaming the people with anorexia i know they can’t help it but it’s still frustrating for vegans who are trying to get our message out. pls understand
Okay so my friend has had serious issues with food in the past, even admitting to me (when she was drunk) about how much she controls her weight and needs to be skinny. She told me that she's a vegan and now I'm worried she's just doing it as an excuse not to eat, recently she's been eating less and less and barely having proper meals and I'm concerned that becoming vegan is gonna make everything worse. We're both in our 20s and I honestly have no idea what to do/whether I should address my concerns to her and how? Any help would be appreciated if anyone actually sees this
I've got to know some vegans and the majority of them said they had or have an eating disorder. Hmm, strange 😉
Oh shit… Is this me? LOL ..0.o
0:31 why did i mishear that as “before I got ill i used to love cocaine
Fancy a sausage?
This is just the BBC taking another step to bully vegans. They've realised how fast no one believed their poorly-researched arguments, so now they're pathetically flailing at another tactic, but this time, an extremely vulnerable one: The mentally unwell. How noble!! Who's going to be your next target BBC? PLEASE make it someone who actually deserves it this time, like Boris Wanker Hypocrite Johnson!!!
I went vegan 24 days ago. I weigh exactly the same jsut saying. I look way better and feel good too though. My.face broke out and I hope that doesn't happen again. This video was confusing
That's such a vegan warrior response Kim !
At first I went vegan to lose weight, and to cure my acne. Because it was bad. But now 3 years later I am still vegan but I still am mindful of what I eat but I have had issues for awhile. I also looked for recipes and dropped from a size 10 to a 6. Now I go up and down in weight it's annoying.
Veganism is not a diet, it's an ethical choice, a belief that all animals have the same right of life or as equal to the animals we consider pets.
The problem here is the psychological and emotional issue around food.
You do find that a lot of people with eating disorders will go vegan. It obviously has something to do with it being another form of control.
SPECIFIC DIETS DO NOT FIX UNDERLYING MENTAL ILLNESSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAY TO BE THE VICTIM. THESE PEOPLE WILL CONTINUE TO BE SICK UNTIL THEY TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS…. CUE THE "ANGRY VEGAN" COMMENTS NOW…..
Finally one of them admits it.
This lady seems to have much, more dipper issues than Veganism. She just wants attention and it’s trying to blame her issues on Veganism. BBC, shame on you. My children, my wife and me are vegans and we have been for almost 2 years. We are healthier that we ever were, when we consumed animals. I’ve you want to know if we’re supposed to eat animals. Go get one without using any tools, but your hands and feet. I bet you won’t catch a single one. The last time I checked we were not born with tools next to us.
This is pretty bad journalism. Trying to associate veganism with eating disorders is ridiculous..
Lets not make veganism look bad just for some click bait.
I've no doubt it's better for both a persons health & obviously better for the animal. I personally could never go vegan, it's totally extreme & i know id be constantly hungry! I could not exist without a bacon sandwich or a chicken madras! Good luck to any vegan, cause your all a hardcore bunch!
We all know the BBC's agenda, who watches this out of date channel anymore. Very poor journalism as ever with this poor fake news channel. Up there with CNN.
Wait… what does this have to do with veganism? 😅 This poor woman had an eating disorder completely irrelevant to what lifestyles she used to hide it.
Pathetic. Veganism is the natural human herbivore diet. It is NOT an eating disorder. She needs a shrink – neurosis has NOTHING – NOTHING – to do with being a vegan. If u told her dirt or raw tadpoles had no calories – this twit would have eaten that instead.
being vegan has nothing to do with eating disorders! Going vegan helped me with my eating disorder and theres so much junk vegan food! ORTHOREXIA is what a eating disorder is you can still eat meat and diary and be orthorexia!
