I've tried Low Carb and Keto many times and they are NOT sustainable! Yes, you will lose the weight but it's not enjoyable and it's a chore to keep up. I enjoy my burgers with buns and my french fries! I'm much happier when I am able to eat carbs but also cutting calories. I usually keep my calories to 2000 per day so this allows me to have a McDonald's Big Mac Combo with a diet coke for lunch and later a sensible dinner. I don't usually eat breakfast so my first meal is lunch. I'm steadily losing weight eating this way. A diet that cuts out my favorite food does not work for me. My craving for carbs is too strong to ignore. It's easier for me to count calories than to cut out my favorite food.

Carbs is not the enemy. Brain and muscles fueled by glucose. Eat carbs and work out.

Yeeee gad here we go again. Carbs are the first choice for fueling our bodies. This is nature's energy. Switching to fat for fuel is normally only used in times of famine naturally to keep the body alive. Sure you might be able to lose weight this way but it is not good for optimum health.

I count calories, but don’t starve myself. I eat a healthy amount and limit junk food, work out 5-7 days a week, been losing 10 pounds a month.
Keto works not because of how the body uses carbs, but because it eliminates hunger, allowing you to maintain a CALORIE RESTRICTED diet. You may not be counting calories, but you are eating fewer calories than you are gurning because if you wern't, you would NOT lose the weight. Calories in calories out is still the law in effect, even on Keto.

How does one lose weight when they can't exercise? I have chronic sciatica and sometimes when I exercise, my hips would go out of alignment and I won't be able to exercise for 2 weeks. So for all the people who say "just eat right and exercise," my only option is to eat right. I just feel like my process is going to be too slow.
I have no option but to calorie count. It just won’t budge or go down if I don’t. Once I started calorie counting I am finally beating my plateau, the weight is dropping. It’s hard. Going from Eating high cal to low cal is definitely hard. I have eaten my caloric intake of the day but im still hungry. It’s hard but it requires patience and discipline and consistency even when you see no results. You got to keep going and you will see results

Ohyeah? Interesting…. Didn't doctors used to endorse smoking? Look how that turned out. Cutting out entire food groups from our diet doesn't seem like a healthy root to take. I've lost 32kg and I've had carbs the entire time. Plenty of others in the same boat as me. If you eat too much of any food group you'll gain weight because its intake vs burning energy. If you cut out carbs and increase fats for example that's worse…. to show you what I mean – nuts are high in healthy fats BUT you need to eat a lot of them to feel full. You need something sustainable that is going to last and be enjoyable. End of.
After watching this video I believe they are correct when they say stop counting calories.
