So your argument for vegan diet was so poor that you had on your side a biased scientist and on non vegan journalists who have little or no knowledge of animal agriculture. Creationists have similar debates, nothing like rigging the debate before you start. All the heroes of the vegan extremists are known for spreading disinformation which make the rest of you either gullible or that you think lying is okay as your diet preferences is everything.

Wow! twelve minutes of vegan qwik clips and then four minutes of disjointed clips for meat! Nice job of editing for vegan argument, but, of course its a vegan website so what did we expect.

When I watched the original, I found the ad hominem attacks on the journalist completely off-putting. Whatever the doctor said after that was tainted.

Zero evidence that dietary saturated fat contributes to heart disease. Same can be said of cholesterol. In fact, the "sweet spot," that is, the ideal number for cholesterol in terms of all-cause mortality, is between 210 and 240. Not only is a vegan diet not healthier than an omnivorous diet, evidence reveals that there are significant nutrient deficiencies in a vegan diet that are not an issue with a meat-based diet. And of course, there is the discouraging stat that 84% of vegans and vegetarians go back to eating meat within 1 year.

But she didn't refute anything!! Just denied the evidence. Lol Every biology textbook out there states that our cells are powered by glucose… We are powered by carbs. They are ESSENTIAL for life.

I feel sorry for this lady if she is on a low carb, high fat diet. She is probably glucose-deficient and likely relies on coffee to get her through the day.

Do quick Google search on each of these nutrients. They are all found in plants…….She is blatantly lying, just like any journalist.

Ms Teicholz also is thin despite her Carnivore Diet, or so she says.
    How healthy is she really?
I bet she's constantly starving to stay that thin.
What are the chances she's a closet vegan trying to dupe the masses into eating Meat-Poison?

David Katz is an industry paid fraud. His story changes over time depending on who is paying him to promote their sugary products, whether it's Chobani Yogurt or Kind bar or the Hershey Company or Quaker Oats (owned by PepsiCo) or The Coca-Cola Company. This fraud actually wrote an article titled "Quitting Sugar is not the Answer" and suggested that people who were eating too much sugar should try a "low sugar" Kind bar, with a teaspoon of added sugar or more in every bar.

I watched the whole debate. Nina Teicholz wiped the floor with Dr Katz. His evidence was 99% observational (i.e. no better than astrology) and the only RCTs he quoted were totally biased in their construction as he admitted later in the Q&A section.

In her defence because she is up against a site which is purely vegan. She’s not putting the vegan diet down however saying ‘don’t say a carnivorous diet is less healthy with the stats given by Dr Katz’. Nina is all about proper clinical trials. Vegans should have stuck with animal welfare where they have a strong point, not healthy eating. Not enough data yet for you all to be throwing stones.

the world health organisation recommended in April 2020 a plant based diet as a healthy diet.
So to have the argument that you need meat to live is wrong and it is only pushed upon us as a "healthy" choice to line pockets of those who exploit and manufacture animals

If anybody thinks that Teicholz bases her claims on an honest and comprehensive assessment of the evidence, they may find it helpful to read the two-part review of her book below.

The journalist Gary Taubes made a fortune misrepresenting the science and uttering falsehoods about Ancel Keys. Perhaps the journalist Nina Teicholz is aiming to repeat Taubes' formula. After all, 'nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public'
