Hi Emmie, I love watching your videos, you have inspired me to slowly transition from a weightwatcher's gal to a vegan. I have lost 87lbs over a 4 year span and I am just a little concerned that adding dates to my diet will lead to weight gain. I'm currently using Monkfruit sweetener and not sure if that is even good, what are your thoughts?
I try to eat at least one can of beans a day to get enough complete protein. I don't seem to have enough energy when I eat only grains and starchy vegetables, no beans or soy. I eat some whole seeds but nuts and nut butters I avoid because I overeat them and gain weight.
Hi Healthy Emmie! I am so grateful to have found your channel. Iβve lost 16 lbs in 2 months just from eating a starch based diet, and I feel amazing. Still have a long way to go though! Iβve seen a few of your videos where you mention an amazing risotto that your family loves. Would you mind making a recipe video for this? Thanks for considering!
I've made a similar recipe for the gravy but add nutritional yeast and instead of soy sauce or tamari add coconut aminos! and some garlic and onion powder! It's so good and I put it all over potatos of all kinds! π
These sauces need to be put on your blog or in the description because they are so good π Another fantastic video from the beautiful, cool, gorgeous & lovely Emmie and love π₯°the video and love πEmmie.
Thanks for all the yummy ideas! To help the flour not clump in the gravy, I have an easy trick that might work. I do this usually with corn starch, when adding to hot liquids (to prevent clumping)…. you just take a small amount of tap water (the coldest you can get) and stir the corn starch into it. It's about a 1 to 2 ratio, cornstarch to water…. I believe it's called a "slurry." Then you should be able to pour the slurry into the hot liquid without clumps : ) Good luck!
How do you eat once your at maintenance? If someone was overweight and finally lost all the weight they desired to lose how do they maintain it in a starch based diet ? Do they still limit their fat intake ?

Why is no one using soya-ghurt for dressings or dips? Is there too much fat?

How did you know I have white beans opened in the fridge?? Haha perfect timing ππΌ
If you mix up your liquids and flours before heating, it won't clump up

I always cook with the thought that recipes are just a guideline. Little bit of this and that can be just the trick.
I never hear you speaking of people with diabetes, and if it's okay to eat all this starch that you speak being so healthy
