Both diets work because they avoid mixing high fat with high carb. That’s one of the major issues with the standard American diet. Besides all the processed foods, a lot of foods combine high fat with high carb (pizza, burgers, etc.).
Hi Brett, Good information! I just eat less being over 60 and I must exercise. I will be watching your challenge because I love these videos and information. oxox
Brett, a wonderful video…..I have been struggling for a few years to lose the weight that I lost a few years back I want to lose about 30 to 35 in total but I have to see how my body will look and all that. I started at 184 and went down to 156 and felt very good and was on my way to continuing…..but life got in the way my Dad was in a nursing home and well lets just say life and I went back to what was comfortable….gained the weight back and now I am down about 10 but struggle because I am dealing with blood pressure and cholesterol issues which I consider because I don't want to take anymore meds then I already do. The hard part for me is that food tends to be my drug of choice. I don't drink or smoke and to deal with the stress well you know. What I discovered because you are right there is sooo much information and sooo many approaches which all have their pluses and minuses as well as controversy. The the thing that it always comes back to is the point that you stated what works for you or what you can see yourself staying on for the long haul is what it is going to be. Also how you feel on the plan. For me I didn't cut out any food groups…..I bought organic whenever I could stayed away from packaged foods and junk food and a lot of eating out too unless you really know how they prepare the food and all. But I found exercise I was walking 3 miles a day 6 days a week and a balanced heart healthy diet with lean meats, lots of veggies and fruits worked for me….I thought of it this way meat was the smallest thing on my plate when it was on there and I went a couple of days eating meatless meals. Sorry to go on…..love sharing……You look fantastic now…..I would love to hear more of your current journey and how it is working for you and what you have discovered…..most importantly how it makes you feel which is really what it all boils down to. Thanks again Brett for your work in doing these videos it is appreciated. Believe me I am not sure there is too many women over 50 that don't struggle with working the proper diet……:-)…..Debbie
Brett, I am a Lifetime Weight Watcher and have kept 78 lbs. off for over 50 years. A balanced diet and exercise is a better way to go. I don't deprive myself but eat healthy. I am at my ideal weight and I am long past menopause. You don't have to get a belly or gain weight after menopause if you exercise and eat a healthy diet.
Good morning Brett! Excellent video. I follow a plant based Keto diet. I stay high fats but my fats are clean, healthy oils mostly. I try to stay away from meats but I will have it once in a while. Studies has shown that a plant based diet will add longevity, cell regeneration and rejuvenation and a high fat Keto approach is the best way to fuel your body versus using glucose for energy. This way I get the best of both worlds. Dr. Berg's videos on YT is a great source for Keto understanding as well. I have been doing a lot of studying on the Blue Zones (regions with the most centenarians), incredible research by Dan Buettner. You may want to check out some of his videos on YT. Love you gorgeous lady and is so nice to see you!!!
Seafood might have nutritional value, but not without the mercury content being an issue. Can’t imagine this would be good for autoimmune issues.

This was a great and informative video. Thank you 😊
Are you transgender?
You look amazing, even better without the makeup. Great information. Thanks
I am a plant based vegan and I would never go back eating animals.
As a new subscriber, I am so grateful for all this information. Love your mum too!!!!👏🏻👏🏻🇦🇺
Great video Brett, I also wanted to recommend Lucy Wyndham Read for workout videos. She has great HIIT videos that are doable for all ages.
