Beans and legumes in general are a great source of vegan protein. The only vegan foods with a better calorie:protein ratio are plant based protein powders and tofu/seitan products. Nothing wrong with good fibrous plant carbs either, they give you muscle fullness and energy to fuel your brain/muscles. As long as you aren't eating in a caloric surplus you're good to go.
So what are good meat alternatives? I think i read that something in beans blocks nutrients from being absorbed, do you know if thats true or why that is?
