Yes, have gone down rabbit hole with too many different, at times crazy, styles of vegan! This recap has snapped me back to the real deal! Thank u! Yep! Those kids are thriving! They are overload cute!!👼👼
you made me lol with your junk vegan characterization. Back in the nineties i would have TOTALLY chosen the canned peaches, fries & cigarettes way of doing it. My bottom dollar always went to gigs and record stores hahaha
Personally I eat plant based at home, but don’t feel it’s worth inconveniencing others, (most of my family despise veganism) and for me I enjoy eating out, don’t do it often but I’m not willing to give up that small joy and eat before and diminish the point of even going out together so when we eat out or with family we’re more flexible and eat what we want/what they’ve made and at home (90-95% of the time) we eat healthy, whole food plant based 😁 it doesn’t always have to be all or nothing either.
I have been having trouble getting enough food. That is what I will be working on from now on. Thanks
Nice
Glad you did this video!
Thanks!
Thanks for being so inspirational!!!
I wish I had someone to share with like you guys do. Amazing couple.

I adore you guys and your sweet little family. You really are looking at the small details here and doing the heavy lifting. Bringing some light into the harder areas of the lifestyle and addressing it with so much positivity. Thanks for doing it, you have inspired and empowered me for years now.
Oh, you all are so inspiring! My husband has been trying to get me on a plant-based diet for years. Last January, I was convinced he was right and we made the switch. We have two little ones similar in age to yours and excepting another in March. Our biggest pitfall is with feeding the kids. My 3 year old doesn’t like the replacement mac n cheese which is his favorite food. We are trying to work through that but I do cave in a lot.
Going plant base 100%! My body can’t handle the meat, dairy, and junk anymore.
I am on WFPB diet for 1.5. Years. My cholesterol is high, my triglycerides are high and my bad cholesterol is high. Do known How and from what? Also i feel very bloated all the time and hungry but still am on this lifestyle and I really am enjoying it. Bad thing is working long days and i am sitting all day. Working out in the morning and moving throughout the day.
Hi I’ve been vegetarian for 7.5 years and vegan for 4 years and I watch your videos to educate myself more I really find your videos very interesting and am very inspirational.
I am on the hunt for a new multivitamin does the compliment contain folate? I looked and I didn’t see the word folate listed is it have that as I know it’s important for all ages? Also is garden of life vitamin code good as well ?
Thanks!
This was so helpful, thank you both!!
Just started to watch but doesn’t just saying WFPB not encourage people to be aware to not use animal products in clothes, skincare, hair are etc…. That is what vegan entails… would love to know your thoughts? 💗💗💗
I tried WFPB for several months about 2 years ago and I definitely felt my best UNTIL the bloating/indigestion which I was not prepared for and ultimately made me revert back to my old diet. Dusty you said you struggled with this also and I’m just curious what you took to help? I want to go back to WFPB but be better prepared this time!
I think a lot of people are moving away from any kind of restrictive diet — by that I mean any diet with a specific set of rules and things you simply cannot eat if you want to claim you’re following that diet. I think the idea of Intuitive Eating is starting to grow, which I love and I follow, but for many people (like I assume with you guys) it can feel perfectly intuitive to crave only plant-based food because of how it makes you feel and how tasty the food you make is. I think it’s those who are vegan because they assume it’s healthier but they eat the processed stuff because they still crave meat and dairy. And then it doesn’t make them feel any better and it can be more expensive so they give up and give into what their body is telling them it wants. And restricting leads to binging so when they feel so satiated and satisfied after the indulgence, now their opinion completely turns around and they’ll tell anyone who’ll listen how miserable it is to be vegan. This is my theory anyway 🤷🏼♀️
😍😍 you guys are awesome
How do you suggest I substitute my toddlers morning and evening milk intake? Even Store bought almond or oat or coconut milk has additives. If I make it at home, my toddler can feel the rough texture in her throat (she’s sensitive to good texture), so I’ve really got no where after trying different tactics.
She goes through phases where she’s gone from drinking green juice and smoothies to not wanting to eat any greens. As parents of toddlers sometimes if feels like our lives revolve around kids. Pls suggest some workable options
I have familiar high cholesterol, my numbers were so bad on the SAD diet and my iron was low too even though I was eating all of those “iron rich” foods. Went vegetarian off and on and that brought my numbers down a bit, went completely vegetarian when my daughter was 3. Then I went whole food plant based about 8 months ago. My numbers were taken before I made the change and then about 6 months in, and my cholesterol is in the normal range, my iron is in the normal range, AND my hormone numbers evened out. And it kind of started seeing an ad for complement that had you on it, which I clicked and fell down the best rabbit hole possible.
Something I’ve been learning about lately, and I’m wondering if Erin has worked with at all, is eating and exercising for each phase of the menstrual cycle.
Hi! I Love all of your videos & this one is great as well! Just curious, do you follow the teachings of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. Essellstyn, Dr. Klaper or Dr. Barnard? They do not recommend taking DHA & EPA, but instead using flax and/or Chia seeds to get omega 3s while keeping omega 6 lower. There have been studies shown in recent years that DHA & EPA supplements (no matter if they were algae derived or fish oil derived) are linked to prostate cancer and many other issues. Also, Dr. Mcdougall and Dr. Pam Popper warn about the use of vitamin D supplements- vegan or not. Just wanted to pass that info along if you had not yet seen it! Y'all are awesome and I love & appreciate all of your videos! ❤️
Can you do more “what my kids eat in a day” please? I am Part of a community Facebook group where I live. It’s a bunch of moms that can ask questions or advise about anything child or family related. I can’t tell you how many times I see posts about how their toddler or child is constipated!! Also, they don’t know what to make their child for meals but, think that the child needs to eat meat or milk. They get frustrated when the child doesn’t. I keep Telling people that dairy is definitely going to constipate them and not provide nutrients. It would be cool if I can Share meal ideas too! Thanks!
I started My family on a B12 supplement. Some are not vegan and some are. I know- talk about a stressful eating environment! Anyway, how often should we take that? Do kids need a specific kind?
Thank you for this. It is definitely encouraging to me as my goal is a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle soon 🥰
i am vegan (wfpb) , and I am thriving!! People always ask me how do you get that glow? And i always reply eating my fruits and veggies!!! No one ever believes how old I am or that I have grown children! Eating this way , living this lifestyle is like drinking from the fountain of youth! people describe me as a boho yes hippie lady, and I totaly agree with that!!! Exercise off your stress ,soak up some rays, walk in nature barefoot! Learn to be thankful show your gratitude daily. Wake up with love and positivity in your heart! life is too short – sending you love and light
Weird, I subscribe to the channel but this video doesn’t come up in my subscription vides 🧐
Great video thanks 🙏
hello! sorry things are not great, you have both been really inspiring regardless! I have been veggie for 3 years but these vids are really inspiring me to be vegan, keep doing what you are doing no matter if the income comes down. All your subs, and people that get inspo, will appreciate it :)The economy is not doing great at the moment so don't take it personally! I'm from the UK and now 1 dollar is equal to a pound essentially! anyway, have a lovely day, you both have definitely helped me, and lots of other people too! why would they be subscribed otherwise?
You really are YouTube's treasure!!! 💖💖💖And it's unbelievable, how information about healthy living and getting well without all these chemicals is obstructed … Thank you so much for what you're sharing and just for being you! I'm just trying to incorporate more raw foods each day. This takes so much planning … Hope it'll be an easy habit soon.
Do you have a complement discount code? Saw one on another page and wanted to use yours if available
You guys make excellent videos!!! Very informative!!! Great job!!!
Thank you Dusty & Erin for sharing this important information. My pitfall I didn't stick to a whole foods plant based lifestyle. I regret it. But with your encouragement I'm going to try again. YOU guys are the BEST. 🙏🏽🙂❤️
My struggle is getting my older kids who just love sugary stuff and are really picky to go back to eating healthy again. I am all alone here. My husband is also not a good example. He's over weight and doesn't care to change his eating habits.
Just love you guys and your WFPB messages. I’m not a perfect plant based eater but I try many of your recipes in the meal planner. Hard for me to 3-full meals a day. Lucky if I can get in two. I really liked the recipes for the 7-day detox. Great recipe varieties. Your Retreats are epic! Loved Costa Rica, unfortunately can’t make those long hikes in the forest very easily but appreciated all the help your guest gave me. Keep sharing the joy. Also, I do take Complement, daily, and what a difference in my hair and nails.
The highest standard in supplements to my knowledge is Quantum Nutrition Labs (public)/Premier Research Labs (through practitioner).
i am in my 11th year being Vegan
i seen many take the exit
2 mistakes i see most often is undereating fat and Protein
to low fat will mess with your Hormones and Thyroid = missed periods, hairloss , depression , anxiety, irregular Heartbeat, constant hungry.
low Protein = slow healing, muscle wasting (especially post Menopause) change in Hair texture and poor skin and nail condition, slow post exercise recovery.
in 11 years i have never eaten fake meats .
whole foods plant based only .
Would you do a video on how much you each eat? The quantity? You show your meals but is that for just one, or both of you. Also is compliment in addition to your other vitamins?
I don’t see the code
What happens when the supplements are no longer available due to food chain breaking down as we are seeing…
Great video! Thank you for so clearly explaining why people fail on a vegan diet. Planning was the biggest game changer for me. Once I got that down, the rest fell into place 🙂It also needs to be said that these 'why i'm no longer vegan' people were never vegan to begin with, they were plant based for health and there's a huge difference. Veganism is an ethical standpoint against animal cruelty. Keep up the good work educating and inspiring people to live ethically and healthfully.
Love this; been vegan over 5 years and I practice these for success; especialllyyyyy looking up the menu! Lol
Drop-out stats are SCARY! And yes, I agree, MOST of them could be easilly prevented if just people KNEW what they should do.
Dear Erin, dear Dusty, I pray for you, that your channel will gets the appreciation it deserves. I wish, that hundreds of thousands will watch your videos and learn (for free!) all the healthy advices. I learned so much from you, I got all your ebooks about the phenomenal vegan bundle this summer. And I will order your app in the next time, too. I have spondylitis ankylosing and also hashimoto. I have to take my medication but I can do so much with my nourishment, too. I am on my way to be vegan, it is not easy, because I am the only one in my family. But with your help I will make it. I know I can never afford to come to your retreat, but I am always looking for your videos. Thank you, sweet guys and GOD bless you🙏❤.
Can you help…Surgery coming up no clue what to eat pre/post operations.
Wow! What a wonderful episode! Every point made is so right on and substantive! Thank you very much!😊
If you’re vegan for the victims – the animals, which is what being vegan really is – or should be, then it’s a piece of vegan cake. I’ve been an ethical vegan for 33-34 years, and a strict WFPB eater for most of that time. ❤️
Love this video! I am slowly starting a whole food plant based diet. When I started my journey towards becoming a Traditional Naturopath, the more I couldn't ignore how sick everyone is. Most people are so against plants, and there is so much knowledge and studies proving how amazing plants are for us. If you look at cancer patients who healed, they never say "I healed with an animal based diet". When you look at healing foods, they don't mention animal sources, it is always plants.
I've been vegan since 2016 after looking for healthier ways to eat and running into several documentaries that left me sobbing on the couch for the animals. I could never eat another animal in my life. So I was a junk food vegan for about 5 years, excited every time a company came out with a new vegan product. In the last year, I've really been trying to switch to a plant based diet, for health reasons. I've been taking meds for high blood pressure for 20 years, and my doctor wanted to increase my BP meds AND put me on cholesterol meds because my cholesterol went over 200. I didn't want that, so I switched to mostly plant based and got both my BP and cholesterol down to acceptable levels in 3 months. But, there have been moments recently when I wished I never knew what happened to the animals and could just be more "normal" in social settings. I just went on a cruise, and I know I could have requested vegan meals in advance, but I'm just not that person. The chefs have thousands of meals to prepare, there's no way I'm going to request they make me something different. They offered vegetarian meals and I figured it wouldn't be too awful if I consumed just a little milk, cheese, and eggs for one week. I still felt guilty for all the mama and baby cows. As soon as I returned home, back to mostly plant based, with a vegan treat occasionally. But it's definitely hard to always be the social outcast. Sometimes I'd just like to stop and grab lunch or dinner with a friend without having to check the menu out first, or pay a fortune to order a salad and plain baked potato because there's nothing else on the menu I can eat. There are only a few vegan restaurants in the town I live in, and the meals there are strange for non vegans. Most of the you-tubers I watch just eat at home all the time, and even when they travel they stay in places where they can cook all their own food. I work hard, and when I go on vacation, I want to go out to eat and have people serve me, not stay in my hotel and heat up rice and beans and frozen veggies! Like I said earlier, I will never eat or wear an animal ever again, but I do understand why some people go back. I had an ice cream cone on my cruise and felt guilty, and that sucks.
