“If you do not plan your [vegan] diet properly, you could miss out on essential nutrients, such as calcium, iron, vitamin B12, iodine and selenium,” the NHS cautions.
Kidney pain
According to the American Kidney Fund, there are “many possible” causes of kidney pain.
This can range from kidney stones, dehydration, to kidney injury and a urinary tract infection.
