Does that mean I have to remove the milk and sugar from my coffee? During the 8 hour window

Okay, so I have PCOS and historically eat very little, to the point where it is thought that I might be in starvation mode. What would you suggest for good calories during that 8 hour span so that I would still lose weight, but get out of starvation at the same time? I have already been actively trying to lose weight, with most meals including salad, fruits, cheeses and some carbs such as crackers or pretzels.

I can attest that I feel better and am losing weight each week with the 16:8 intermittent fasting. Sometimes I cannot do 16:8 so I do 15:9 and still losing weight with more energy! Still enjoying treats during the eating phase! Nothing else including low carb and keto worked for me…

I’ve recently started 16:8… few days ago. My question is can i shift that 16:8 around. It’s easy for me to do 11-7pm M-th but f- sun we often eat on a different schedule. Does it matter if today is 12-8 and tomorrow is 10-6… i know between those schedules is less than 16 hours. I guess my question is does it matter WHEN the 16:8 is done … etc.?

Curious. If let’s say I’m more a lunch and dinner sorta person. But I have a major long 200 question 5 hour exam that begins at 8. How does one manage the demands of thinking for that better with IF?

We can’t digest plants. They provide zero nutrition to the human body, so a vegan diet is already a permanent fast.

    Very informative, thanks for sharing!

I've read quite a bit that breaking fast with raw fruits/veg isn't optimum as they aren't as easily digestable. They seem to suggest proteins for first meal. Any thoughts on that?

This is one of the best nutrition videos I’ve seen. And, sincerely, your vibe is so authentic and lovely. I’ve been a vegan for a year and a vegetarian for 15 years before. This is day 2 to me for 16/8 because I’m riddled with bloating and I have some belly fat I’d like to get rid of (I’m a 49 year old man… relatively good shape… 6’1’’ and 188 pounds). Will 16/8 help me if want to help with bloating and just firm up a bit? Thank you so so much.

Hi, I'm a new subscriber. Thank you for this video. I've been diabetic type 2 for 10 yrs on medication. I just had a review with my diabetic nurse & I'm technically in remission. I still have weight to lose though & she suggested intermittent fasting & reducing my meds. I'm looking forward to giving this a try. I'm currently vegetarian but looking to go vegan, so will watch your other video too 🙂

Thanks so much! Question: Should we do 16:8 every day? Some people say do it just a few times per week. Or vary daily: 12:12, 16:8, 14:10, etc.? I don't always stop or start at the same time each day, but I almost always do at least 12 hours and sometimes up to 16 or 18. Does this work? Also, I find I'm mostly only interested in 2 meals doing this. Or, like yesterday, I had breakfast, chili and toast before my 4p class, and then roasted broccoli for dinner. So my lunch was kind of split in 2 portions–part for lunch and part for dinner. But I am wondering if I'm able to get all my nutrients in during that 8 to 12 hour period. Thanks!

I'm 70 and have moved to whole food, plant based eating in the last 3 years. It's been great. I'm looking forward to trying 16:8. Here's an issue. I eat well and exercise regularly. I didn't gain weight over the covid year, but my stomach increased so pants became snug. Very strange. (And I don't drink a lot of beer!) Any thoughts?
