Pieminister has launched gluten-free vegan gravy in Waitrose stores across the UK – and online via Ocado.
And at the moment it’s offering the chance to try it free if you buy the gravy from selected branches of Waitrose and upload your receipt here.
According to the pie company, enjoying gravy over dishes like chips and roasts, is one of ‘life’s simplest pleasures’.
It adds that its gravy, which is sure to top every Brit’s comfort hitlist as the Autumn nights draw in, is rich and full-bodied.
The recipe for the ready to heat and serve sauce, which it says boasts a ‘fantastic flavour and velvety consistency’ took almost 20 years to perfect.
There’s nothing quite like vegan gravy
In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Tristan Hogg, Pieminister co-founder and MD, said: “As a nation we’re as passionate about gravy as we are of pies!
“We’ve been serving our own recipe gravy in our restaurants since 2003 and now we’re bringing it to your homes.
“Delicious poured liberally over our pies, we’re also discovering from our customers that the ‘goes-with-gravy’ list is endless, from cheesy gravy pasta bakes to a side to dip your vegan burger into.
“We also know that differing opinions on the correct consistency can stir up a lot of emotion, which is why our website offers suggestions of how to personalise your pour.”
Pieminster’s gluten-free, vegan gravy is available in the chilled aisles of selected Waitrose branches nationwide and online through Ocado. The 250ml cartons have an RRP of £2.25.
