No diet is without its downsides. For those who have experienced any of these issues, I hope the advice I offered has helped. This is not a video to slate a vegan diet, it is to make sure those who are giving it a try are aware of what problems they might run into and how best to combat them when they do.

I know this is an old video, but why would you say avocado? Avocados have a ton of fiber according to cronometer. What am I missing?

Yes, stuff the gut with fiber wrecking the intestines. When you quit veganism, consider GAPS diet.

"Dr. McBride developed the GAPS diet based on her experience of working with hundreds of children and adults who suffered from psychiatric and neurological conditions. She also used the same method to treat her son’s autism effectively.

An imbalance in the bacterial ecosystem of the digestive tract is the link between depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and bipolar disorder. Imbalanced gut bacteria is the primary cause of many of these health conditions.

The GAPS Diet (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) was essentially created to restore gut health, with the primary objective of removing difficult to digest foods which can cause damage to gut flora.

Nutrient rich foods replace a standard diet thereby allowing the intestinal lining to heal properly. It is also effective for treating conditions related to gut imbalance like depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.

In addition, various gastrointestinal problems such as chronic diarrhea, ulcerative colitis, gastritis and Crohn’s disease can also be helped with the GAPS diet.

The original aim of using the GAPS diet as a treatment procedure for various health conditions is to detoxify the body by eliminating toxic brain fog. The brain can function and develop properly with elimination of toxins."

2 years in still couldn't do fiber. Why? A sad diet screwed up my digestion, as in, yeast, critters, bad bacterial. BTW, it's estimated 80% of the US population has L-pylori. Don't give up if you have digestive problems. Test for parasites and bactrial overgrowth. No matter what diet you follow, if your digestion is screwed up, you'll be unhealthy.

Counting calories is bullshit you cannot determe how many calories food consist ( for example apple with less sweetness is calories lower than apple with more natural sugar ( glucose and fructose ) in it, so counting calories is pointless. Just eat until you feel satisfied and train like a beast. Plant based diet is the best diet for humans, with this diet you will get muscular, shredded and healthy.

It's tough to get protein and carbs fairly even. But it's harder to get the calories for what I need. I need 200g protein and carbs. 50g fat. But calories are only 2800-3000. Need 3500-4000 ideally for starting strength program NLP
