Tarka Dahl! ✨
Today is the start of my kind of comfort food series! The cold weather has now begun and this an amazing simple and tasty dish to make! You could eat this with a bit of rice or even by itself or even with some bombay potatoes! 😋

Recipe:
Serves 8
3 cups yellow lentils
1 cup red lentils
Water
1TBSP coconut oil
1TSP cumin seeds
2TSP minced ginger
4 garlic cloves
3 tomatoes
2 dried chilli's
2 fresh chilli's
2TSP garama masala
1TSP salt
1) Wash your yellow lentils till the water runs clear. Then add to a large pan with 2 pints of water. Bring to boil then simmer for 30 minutes.
2) Wash your red lentils till the water runs clear. Add to a pan with 1 ping of water and bring to boil then simmer for 8 minutes.
3) Let's make the Tarka. Add coconut oil to a pan and warm it up. Once warmed add cumin seeds, cook till they pop then go in with your garlic and ginger and cook that for 1 minute. Next add your tomatoes, chilli's and dried chilli bring to boil then put a lid on and simmer for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes add garama masala and stir into the Tarka.
4) Add your Tarka to the yellow lentils and also add the red lentils and salt to the yellow lentils then combine together and serve the Tarka Dahl in a a bowl by itself or with some rice! Enjoy! 😉
