Same thing happened with me. After a few months WFPB all my' bloods' were 'perfect' (at 62). Over the next 6 years, every 6 month visit, still the same. Only problem I had at first was quite low hypo-thyroid. My Doc said to use a little iodised salt (around a tsp/day max) and occasionally drop some kelp/dulse in my soups…..6 months later, thyroid perfecto! …not to mention the disappearance of joint pain and muscle stiffness, complete deep sleep and never being tired during the day.
What about the study by the Mayo clinic that says vegan diets are horrible? What about the raw vegan mom in prison for murder because her 18 mth old died from her vegan diet?

This can be achieved with wholesome, organic foods and has nothing to do with vegan foods. As long as you eat non processed foods and a mixed diet, you can reverse Type 2 Diabetes. The same results can be seen from a ketogenic, meat-based diet.

That shouldn't come as a surprise given that our biology shares more similarities with frugivores than omnivores. It still surprises me every day how many doctors, dentists and other MEDICAL scientists do not make the connection between the way our bodies are build and our ancestors (evolution theory).
Sounds impressive until the papers (abstracts only) used are examined. Prostrate cancer study (2004) contained only 6 patients in each group, why no later follow up studies if this this is so powerful an effect? The other 2-are also small studies. His own demonstrated the apparent superiority of vegan over standard advice for CAD patients. The standard dietary advice is appalling and most dietary choices other than SAD show superior outcomes. Again dates from the early 2000s, again if this is so powerful why hasn’t it been incorporated into the later care guidelines?
I am sorry to say that, but you vegan people that I see on YouTube, pretty much all of you look sick to me.. I can see your bones, your skin is super pale and you just don't look healthy. When the messengers actually LOOK healthy I will actually listen to their nutrition advice. Most vegans have sunken cheeks, shrunken frames, smaller muscles and wrinkly skin. I believe eating vegan IS healthy but NOT when they go to extremes whilst excluding or serious limiting 1000’s of years of PROVEN healthy foods such as RAW organic honey, olive oils, coconut oils, and other healthy oils, all nuts and avocados etc.!!! Just a FEW years ago Barnard was advocating eating these oils and nuts… but now when some other plant based diets started advocating NO OILS NO NUTS etc., he started saying that people should almost eliminate oils and extremely limit nuts and avocados! In a few years we will hear about some NEW findings to severely limit or eliminate some other vegetables, fruits, grains or legumes again! I believe that keeping them (healthy vegetarian oils and nuts etc.) at a moderate level is best but they are extremely healthy to use every day in salads, in cooking and so on. And honey is considered THE NO. most healthy food in the world so don’t tell me it’s abusing bees. God didn’t create them so we can just take pictures of them!!

I've gotta say that while I wouldn't say I'm a genuine vegan just yet, I have been transitioning towards a plant based diet over the last two months and I believe I will be probably 95% or better vegan by the end of next month, and I find that the issue isn't about eating as much as you want, but more so, if you don't want to eat too many calories & you want to feel very full, you can do so far more easily on a vegan diet. I mean I ate maybe 1500 calories today and I will be hard pressed to eat anything before noon tomorrow because my diet is so rich with fiber that I will feel full all day. Which is a good thing because I am trying to lose weight. So far I am down about 36 lbs in 7 weeks.
I am a breast cancer survivor, and I had to refuse ALL meds for follow up care due to side effects. The only option I had to prevent recurrence was to go WFPB. I had been on every diet known to man since the age of 11, including keto, and none of them were sustainable. Now I eat whatever I want, I don't weigh and measure a thing….I eat heaping plates of food including whole grains so no elimination of carbs. Within 5 months I was down 45 lbs without effort. I have more energy than I did pre-cancer, and I just had my 5yr anniversary of cancer diagnosis all clear!! The doctors called me an enigma and wanted to know if I had more surgery due to my scans being so clean!!!
