Burger King is no stranger to launching plant-based products from vegan nuggets to its Vegan Royale. In fact, earlier this year the brand launched its very first meat-free restaurant in London.
And just in time for Veganuary, Burger King has announced it’s taking its plant-based menu to the next level with the launch of its ‘Bakon King’ range. This is all part of Burger King’s mission to offer a 50% meat-free menu by 2030.
From 4th January, the Bacon King range is back, including a plant-based twist featuring a Vegan Royale Bakon King packed full of crispy vegan Bakon and vegan Cheeeze.
The range consists of six burgers, The Chicken Royale Bacon King, The Bacon King (Single or Double), The Vegan Royale Bakon King and The Plant-Based Bakon King (Single or Double).
Whilst the meat versions include Whopper patties with crispy bacon and cheese slices, their vegan counterparts come with either a Vegan Royale patty or plant-based Whopper with vegan Cheeze slices, strips of vegan Bakon and egg-free mayo and ketchup.
But if you can’t wait until then, Burger King app users can have the chance to grab a burger before it arrives in restaurants, with a buy-one-get-one-free offer on the Vegan Royale Bakon King and the Plant-Based Bakon King single running between 31st December – 3rd January.
