Tiki Loco, a vegan restaurant that opened in Deep Ellum in 2018, will close at the start of the new year, as first reported by CultureMap.
The Dallas restaurant’s final day of service will be Jan. 3, according to a post on the restaurant’s Instagram page.
“After trying to maintain a business during a pandemic, declining foot traffic and increasing costs, we are forced to shift gears, and have made the heartbreaking decision to close our restaurant,” the post said.
Tiki Loco, which is co-owned by Elm Street Tattoo shop artists Oliver Peck and Dean Williams, serves vegan tacos, burgers, smoothies, tofu scrambles and White Rock Coffee. Its vegan and gluten-free-friendly menu has been a go-to for many people looking for alternative dining options.
For the remaining days it is open, Tiki Loco’s operating hours will be 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Tuesday. Hours may change as staffing and supplies fluctuate.
Tiki Loco is located at 2639 Elm St. #100, Dallas. tikilocodeepellum.com.
