I've been vegetarian for 7 years. I grew up on a farm and raised chickens, pigs and turkeys from birth to execution with my parents. With all the food options in our society, why choose the option that involves killing an animal for a snack? If you had a live chicken and it was dinner time, and you had other things like rice, eggs, potatoes etc, would you still preach meat meat meat and slay the chicken, despite having other options? Or do you only preach meat because someone else does the killing for you. To me the latter seems cowardly, but that's just my opinion. There's other concepts like factory farms, genetic manipulation, and religious factors to vegetarianism.
I am a Jain, pure vegetarian, never touched meat and eggs in my life…… extremally tough to gain muscle without the fat, I am looking for good advice, stuff on the internet was shit
Absolutely not everyone can be vegan/vegetarian: If its not for you, its not for you. But it is a valid way to live for some people. Sebastjan Gergoric set a world record for the Ironman challenge; thatâs a triathlon of 2.5 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride & a marathon (22.6 miles) all on a plant-based diet. More and more Ironman contestants are going plant based. But again, the vegan/vegetarian lifestyle is not for everyone. You do you king!
I just want to clear up that cows milk and beef actually contain estrogen as well. Soy does contain (phyto)estrogen, but there is no valid research that supports that any of this will affect your testosterone levels. If you cannot or prefer not to drink regular milk, you should consume soy. Nutritionally it is the best milk alternative.
1:40 this is bullshit. Do the research and you learn that soy does contain phytoestrogen, something that behaves similarly to estrogen but is not the same; affects plants, not humans. I've been vegan for 3 years and I drink a 2-cups soy milk shake EVERY DAY and eat tofu almost EVERY DAY and don't have "bitch tits." I'm more muscular and feel better than I ever did before I was doing this.
Stop saying this, because it's leading some of our brothers astray from their goals. Soy milk and tofu are excellent and easy sources of protein. Also, take a tour of your own pantry and you'll find that you have a LOT of things that contain soy.
Not a vegetarian but I swear by hemp hearts+ flax seeds blended with power greens & berries as my post-workout shake. Too many people out here drinking inferior powders.
I wanna know why you think it's ok to take part in the modern day holocaust for animals. No – for real – I want to know why you dismiss the reality of your actions and chalk it up to "everyone does it." No – serious – be high thumos and think for yourself. Have you made your own conclusions or are following the crowd? You don't need meat to make gains. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian bodybuilders, power lifters, strong men. It just comes down to these humans are more ethical and disciplined in their diet to meet (pun intended) their nutrient needs.
I personally have a shake with Great Northern Beans to meet protein needs.
Been vegetarian 3 years because I didnât want to eat an animal without seeing him and knowing if I would be able to kill him myself. Iâm missing the ancient rituals around the sacrifice of a life for ours and the relation between the hunter and the hunted. Itâs harder to bulk than omnivorism (few fast food options, food with a lower concentration of protein) but with dairy products and eggs and a particular attention to macronutrients I developed a great physique and some serious strength. Wish I could send a picture of the transformation.
Reasons for not eating meat? Ethics, sustainability… Seems pretty reasonable to me. Shouldn't caring about innocent life and standing up for your ideals in the face of ridicule be considered the highest of thumos? Even a meat eater could agree it's at least the morally preferable thing to do, or am I missing something?
many people are vegatarian for hindu and religious reasons. you can make your diet work on a lot of whey protein isolate (low lactose) and 2-3 whole eggs in the morning. Maybe cook it in some grass fed ghee. Fruits, veggies, and whole grains in the diet from there. it is doable
Bro I really respect you as a person but I've seen people on a vegetarian diet and they are bigger than you my man. So I think you should respect others choices and not tell them to 'reconsider choices'.
I'm vegetarian / vegan for the animals. We don't need to eat meat to be healthy so eating meat is just unnecessary cruelty I've been vegan for 2 years and went from a little soyboy to a man, ironic isn't it? I eat soy everyday, I'm steadily gaining muscle and I don't have low energy levels or none of that shit and anyone can have good energy and hormone levels (my test is fine, could be better but I assume it's because of the sedentary lifestyle I had when I got it tested). I dare anyone to find a good argument for meat except for "tastes good" and "protein".
Man, I was vegan for a year. Horrible experience. Good quality meat, eggs, hell even dairy made me feel so damn good. I felt alive again. It's the cycle of life.
All my life I've disliked and avoided meat. 2 years ago I switched to a full on vegetarian and I've never felt better in my life. Honestly. I've managed to bulk up, gain a lot of muscle, and I'm in the best shape in my life physically and mentally. I'm dominating. The clean eating honestly just works for me. I eat a lot of vegetables, cheeses, eggs, milk, beans, you name it and I feel amazing. I understand that this may not be the case for everyone, as we all have different genes evolved to eat different kinds of foods but that's just what works for me. Cheers
Going vegan will heal your brain and allow you to be steady at a higher level of energy/consciousness. This is better than muscle. You can have both as well but it takes planning.
Everyone who is vegan or vegetarian looks deadly sick and weak… If life is about energy transfer and energy cant be destroyed only transferred then eating meat is the highest form of energy transfer. EAT MEAT AND ALOT OF IT!
There's heaps of strong vegetarians. I've been vego for 5 years, and only gotten/maintained strength. might not be everyone's cup of tea; But if the guy isn't asking "should I be vegetarian" he's asking for advice as a vegetarian; it's totally redundant to just tell the guy to eat meat.
Also when it comes to soy products a bit is okay… The phytoestrogen in soy is actually significantly weaker than human estrogen; resulting in almost no hormonal effect… Hence why women with breast cancer have no issues with it despite estrogen making their condition worse
I've been vegan for 4 years and accidentally squatted 455lbs high bar, pause benched 315lbs, 555lbs deadlift conventional at 20y old and 183lbs But I don't count cuz I've probably got Neanderthal dna. My raging hard erections every morning and while I'm asleep is also an accident.
Personally not a vegetarian, but sometimes i don't feel like eating/cooking meat so i eat greek yogurt, eat a bunch of eggs, drink some raw milk and got my protein and nutrients
Lost so much strength and I see pictures of my self from when I was eating mainly plant-based and I just looked so much skinnier added me back into my diet and prioritized it and gained even more weight than what I was weighing before and got so much stronger it was like newbie gains all over again
Raw milk, pasture raised eggs, local organic fruits and veggies. No soy.
I've been trying vegetarianism for the first time. Used to be huge into carnivore. Honestly feel amazing, but I get lots of nutrients and protein from raw milk and high quality eggs. I heard stuff about meat having parasites that make us crave more meat. I don't know if this is true, but decided to try cutting it out just to see what happens. Also intuition leads me away from eating meat. Picking fruit is beautiful, the bloody mess of killing and butchering an animal is straight out of a horror movie (if I'm being honest).
CHEESE MILK EGGS YOGURT BEANS WHEY PROTEIN POWDER you can get enough protein. it is just harder because you have less variety. focus on those protein sources and mix and match your whole food carbs and fats like potato, avocado, quality breads, fruits, veggies, and you will build 95% of the muscle of an omnivorous diet if youre in a caloric surplus. you just need to be more creative with your meals
Mfers counting on having motivation to workout…WTF is wrong with you. Motivation isn't real, discipline is. When you take a dump in the morning you wipe your ass right? Because if you didn't it would be gross. You take a shower and brush your teeth before leaving the house right? Why? Because it's good hygiene and you're disciplined enough to want to have to do it. Exercise is a hygiene! Never leave home without it.
1. You can totally gain muscle/ feel good while eating vegetarian/vegan 2. Not a very productive answer, telling a vegetarian to eat meat⊠you donât know the reasons someone is vegetarian 3. Respect for everyone not eating meat/animal products. Ethic situation aside, their eating habit is one of the best for saving our planet
I don't care if people eat or don't eat meat. But I don't do it because I can look into the eyes of an animal (which we are animals too) and see some spark of consciousness in there. Dogs have personalities just like all other animals. If you wouldn't eat your dog why would you eat a cow? Personal connection or lack of empathy? I would eat meat if I had no other option, If I needed to eat meat to survive I would, but I don't. We can look at countless people through many cultures that have lived long and healthy lives under a vegetarian diet. I don't see the need to take life for the satisfaction of taste buds. Morality is a tricky and subjective thing though. To gain muscle eat eggs a lot, potatoes, rice, broccoli, spinach, beans, and all the other vegies too. Making eggs the staple of my diet has helped me. But if you wanna get huge maybe meat is the best thing to consume. Just depends on what your life goals are.
I've tried multiple times to go from being an omnivore to pescatarian to vegetarian and onto vegan. A few times…. I can attest and sat that I always felt hungry. Animal protein was the thing my body always craved and it didnt feel satiated without it. I am now consuming red, white and fish meats often and I feel fantastic. Along w the nuts, seeds, greens, and other shit. Eat meat. Your body will thank you.
it's simple, just eat as much high calories with smoothies, protein powder, beans, rice, pasta, falafel, bread, eggs, potatoes, avocados, peanut/almond butter, oats etc. So many things to build muscle and gain weight that isn't meat.
Meat is constipating, slows digesting and elimination, more toxin buildup. Also mucus forming, look up for Arnold Ehrets work it's interesting
Soy boys in the group i see

I've seen vegans twice your size ngl

am vegetarian my whole life, where do animals get protein? Im strong eat beans n vegetables
Maybe the dude just wants to be vegetarian/vegan because he feels like it, and that's that. He doesn't have to explain himself to you guys lmao.

It's obviously because of animal abuse, cows spend all their life trapped in a square without been able to move ever in years and years, it's inhumane
Go vegan
Fuck meat these days

Potatoes, nuts, lentils, brown rice, protein shakes. Thats from the top of my head. Also reconsider being vegan, meat is a necessity.
step 1. dont go on a vegetarian diet

Mongolian diet: Cheese, milk, yogurt, wild game, horse and cow meat.
Chinese diet: Rice, vegetables, sometimes chicken or pork.

I was vegan for almost 2 years and all the carbs got me fat as shit. No reason no to eat meat
stay away from seitan
kidney beans bruvvv, peanut butter .

I donât eat meat bc Iâm Hindu/Hare Krishna. I consume dairy but thatâs the only animal product. No eggs, no meat, no fish.
lol
Only beef, fish, butter, bacon, eggs, cheese and avocado after 30yrs of being a vegitarian. And i feel great!
Lost so much strength and I see pictures of my self from when I was eating mainly plant-based and I just looked so much skinnier added me back into my diet and prioritized it and gained even more weight than what I was weighing before and got so much stronger it was like newbie gains all over again

being vegan makes you weak
CHEESE MILK EGGS YOGURT BEANS WHEY PROTEIN POWDER

Pretty based tbh
I stopped eating meat 5 days ago. The main reason is that I felt calmer and had tons of energy, my mind is clearer now
I always felt bad for animals but it was no moral decision.
It just seems rational to me to abstain from meat. (Harder erections as well)
Good thing is that I dont have to have cognitive dissonance now
