Thanks so much for watching! There are so many benefits to a plant-based diet. It's a good idea to work with a dietitian to help you customize your diet.
The kidneys stages can be reversed??. Answer ??
Vegetarian diet is acceptable but the salt restriction is very difficult to follow dr.
Fantastic Video, your both wonderful sources of information…..I'm inspired so Thank You!
I eat varieties of food nature provided. Diets like carnivore and Keto are not meant to be permanent eating regime. They are useful to treat certain illnesses and health issues, but only temporary. I tried both diets, after 2 weeks of each diet experimenting, I see that didn't work for me. Developing some weird reactions that never existed before. And these symptoms stopped completely less than 48 hours I quitted the diets. I am athletic, sporty and healthy and I think normal regular healthy people should eat varieties foods. And most importantly is to get food from good sources
So basically, this vegan indoctrination video is hidden in a guise of kidney disorders
Wait a minute! This home economics graduate is saying to eat “whole” foods, then telling you to read the label! What? If there is a label, or it was created in a lab, don’t eat it! And, meat is absolutely necessary, and doesn’t lead to heart or kidney disease, carbohydrates do. Carbs in non-starchy vegetables is not the problem, it’s the processed carbs and sugar which cause hyper-insulemia and eventually, disease. Good luck cutting sugar and carbs on a supposed “plant based” diet. You WILL be hungry all the time, as sugar causes cravings. Sugar isn’t “tricky” (LOL) but your dietary advice will have people eating way too much of it. Hint: the dietary “guidelines” are deadly.
It’s the clueless QUACKS who give nutrition to HOME ECONOMICS grads to deal with. The field is an absolute sham, and virtually all of them just push the standard medical dogma which has CREATED the obesity epidemic since the insanity of Ancel Keys and his FAKE, cherry-picked data and the ridiculous and discredited “food pyramid” you are STILL PROMOTING!!!
Wow. Really appreciate both of you. I'm now recovering from surgery to remove bilateral kidney stones. Binging on your videos. I never want to go through these problems again. You guys are helping and inspiring me to get on the right path.
Much love from California.
She thinks people “like fruit”, LOL! No kidding, it’s solid FRUCTOSE!!! Are you trying to kill people, because it sure as hell sounds like it. There is NO PROBLEM with meat, if you cut the processed carbohydrate. You are talking out of both sides of your mouth here! Animal based diets are incredibly healthy. YES, we have an “obsession” with protein, because your body REQUIRES IT, and you don’t get much st all (and it’s far less bio-available) in a supposed “plant based” diet. Vegans are not healthy or even healthy looking. It’s a horrible way of eating.
It’s not the protein that’s causing the issues! You are focusing on the WRONG macro. You NEED protein, it’s a nutritional requirement, whereas carbohydrate is not. If anyone doubts what I’m saying, look into low carb diets and fasting. This video is just pushing medical dogma which is wrong, and completely based on drugs for sale, and not sound advice to eat a proper human diet which even Hippocrates recognized as an Ancient Greek.
Very informative details thank you sir and ms michile ….God bless
The information offered by the video is great, but somehow Dr. Hashmi's voice in the video is going in and out and hard to get the full meaning, while Dr Crosmer's voice is perfect. I suppose there is something to improve on where Dr. Hashmi put his mic?
B.S. Once your kidney's decline there is nothing you can do. What you eat may take the strain off them but that's about it.
How about eggs? Can it be the protein in a plant based diet?
Hard to believe loading up on carbs is healthful on nephropathy
I will like both of you to schedule and talk about food that help 0 Negative blood type in connection with kidney health please do that because blood donors needs your help to stay very healthy 👍🙏🏽

Thank you doc for your videos. Doc my father is on dialysis. He never drank alcohol, smoke. He eat mostly vegetarian diet. Once a week he would only chicken. He brought us 8 of us his children to America. Life was hard. He used to worry a lot.He had a blood pressure. Few years ago ,both of his kidneys failed n now he is on dialysis. We tried to put him transplant list but we couldn't because of his age. He is 79 year old. My question to you doctor, is there a chance that his kidneys can reverse. He has been on dialysis for 3 years. I have heard stories that dialysis patients kidneys have reversed. Is there a time frame within how many years being on dialysis can kidney might reverse. Thank you. I am a very very very concerned daughter. It breaks my heart into pieces to see my dad especially right after dialysis.
Hey doc . Which result from a urine test confirms ckd ? What if everything else is normal except for 1 result ?
Can I eat kidney beans for my protein
Interesting video. However, there’s a lot of contradiction around this topic. Some channels on here recommend eating meat, reducing potassium and fibre in take. Which is bizarre and goes against all research and common sense.
I would say a fruit based fast could really help out the kidneys. Would you agree?
😊👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿😊👍🏿👍🏿
I need a list. For reducing potassium, what veggies, legumes, fruit can I eat, what to avoid?
Thank you
Which video was longer
Michelle do you also Deal with chronic kidney stones
This video has more of a plant based bias than good nutritional advise for kidney health. It seems to ignore the difference between high glycemic and low glycemic plant based foods. As most people with CKD also have diabetes or pre-diabetes, they know that high blood sugar is the WORST thing for CKD. Recommending plant based foods like fruit and starch carbohydrates like potato and legumes is a very bad idea for diabetics. These spike blood glucose and you have to keep your blood glucose down. A plant based diet can be very healthy, but it's important to remember there are some plants you cannot eat for diabetic health and consequently CKD. The focus should be on overall health, not simply an anti animal agenda.
Thank you so much for this information and the interview. I'm so encouraged as I have worked hard to eat a plant based diet and recently started caring for my brother at stage 4 and was told that all of the fruits and vegetables that I live on are too high in potassium. Michele's info and Instagram images are very helpful. I'm feeling more hopeful now that I have a way to add potatoes and other fruits and vegetables back into his diet. Thank you so much Dr. Hashmi!!
