Without lean meat, I feel so hungry. I'm really trying to eat like this perfectly. Does this stage stop? I can't sustain this diet if I stay hungry. I eat a huge salad with beans or a plate full of food doing the 50/50. I eat as much as I want but feel hungry only a couple of hours later. Please help! I'm desperate to lose weight.

Is your family vegan? I’d love to see for example, when your are eating your potato/Brussels sprouts dinner, what is your family eating?

Congrats on being a Star McDougllar! I LOVE all of your meal idea – please keep them coming! My family is not vegan (like others I’m seeing here) so makes it so difficult. Definitely a stress eater. I’ve started and stopped this so many times. I do great on the weekends then fail by mid week. Thanks for great videos! Hopefully I’ll keep with it before summer!

I have been doing this for 28 days and I’m already down 15.2lbs.! I get to eat so much, it’s amazing how easy it is to lose the weight and get to eat so much!

I tried your veggie soup last night and it was delicious! I am 5-2 , 40 yrs old, and just like your mom, found myself 15 lbs overweight. I tried keto and just gained weight. I think my body cannot handle high levels of fat and I felt terrible. Last week was my first week following the McDougall program and I lost 5 lbs! I feel AMAZING. The biggest change has been my energy level. Thank you for posting your story and your moms story! Very encouraging!
PS – I’ve tried plant based in the past and did not lose weight. I realize now I was eating wayyy too much fruit!

Love your videos and recipes! I notice you eat a lot of broccoli and I just learned that to get the most benefits from it, you should cut it up 45 minutes prior to cooking or add mustard powder if you don’t want to wait. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9gCxCVGB96w

Hi Taylor. What is your take on oil spray? I like to use just a spritz sometimes. Not because of taste but because it helps the salt stick to the food. I find the salt just falls off my food.

When cooking beans, add onions and whole garlic cloves at the beginning. Salt should only be added towards the end of the cooking time. Salt will make your beans “mealy”.

How did you figure it all out. I have been eating Starch Solution since November with an emphasis on maximum weight loss and can't seem to make any downward progress!! Do you have any tips? I have watched all your videos but still stuck!

I really appreciate your channel. I realize that my problem is trying to make food taste the way it used when I ate meat rather than letting my tastebuds adjust to my new way of eating. Your ideas really help a lot.

Thanks for sharing so many simple recipes! Most of your meals have become staples in my house!
You may have done a video on this before I started following you… but do you take a b12 or vitamin D supplement? I’ve been mostly vegan for about a year now and I’ve not taken any supplements thus far. Thanks! ☺️

I can’t eat vegan proteins, I am completely intolerant to all legumes (chickpeas, lentils, peanuts, beans, etc.). Replacing the beans with organic/antibiotic free lean chicken, turkey and eggs, would that be equivalent?

I recently (last week) found your channel and have watched all your videos. I love the simplicity of your meals!! You're killing it!!! I started the Starch Solution about three weeks ago — and the weight loss has been slow (maybe a few pounds lost). However, I do feel sooooo much healthier!! I'm sure the weight loss will come in time – AND – once I incorporate walking/working out. (I'm about the same age as your mother) Keep the videos coming!!!! You are motivating me to stick with it!!! Thank you!!!

How did you get through the beginning phase? Like the first few weeks? What did you do to help? Did you feel hungry a lot in the beginning? Every time I start within like 2 meals I feel like falling off the wagon lol. I feel unsatisfied, I feel like eating fat helps me stay full longer, but like mentally knowing I can’t eat fat, makes me want it more. Ahh lol suggestions?

You are so right about being 100% in. I am having trouble just starting. The food doesn't look appetizing but when I eat it, its better than it looks. I am seriously going to do it. I have tins of broccoli , potatoes. Thanks for the encouragement .

I was just thinking I needed a new oatmeal recipe, thanks Taylor. It's been snowing like crazy in New Jersey this year, but honestly, I don't mind it. As you know I'm 3 years into my plant based lifestyle and I never ever want to feel like I used to feel, nor gain that weight back again. And you are right, once you get over that hump, it's smooth sailing! ❤️🌱

Congratulations on being a Star McDougaller! 🤩 Thank you for all your great videos, encouragement and advise! Your posts here on YouTube and Instagram really help me stay encouraged to stay on track with this lifestyle. My favorite go to morning vegetable lately has been cabbage sautéed in Orrington Farms Broth Base and Seasoning (Ham flavor). I usually have it with carrot cake oatmeal. 👍

I realized how you have to go 💯 with this diet for it to work, I use to believe in moderation but even with moderation I wasn’t seeing results. I’m still struggling but I still mainly eat Whole plant based foods.
