You are absolutely delightful! I so agree with you regarding making the same meals every day. As a person who has started/failed vegan, whole food diets for years ( even though I know they are good for me) your theory makes a lot of sense. Similar to Steve Jobs wearing the same outfit everyday so he can focus on bigger/better things. The only thing for me is the lack of variety this affords but I will work through that. Appreciate your point of view. Not sure why you popped up in my feeds but I'm glad you did! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️

I hit subscribe partway through watching this, which isn't something I do often, but you were that engaging and interesting that I felt compelled to!
Thanks for making me feel better about the way I cook, I thought it was boring to make the same component things again and again, or to be drawn back to the same handful of meals that I know I like, but you just actually made me feel ok about that, and made me realise this is actually a really sensible way to do things and doesn't need to be boring, this method just helps to give you peace of mind and consistency, love it! 🤗🥗🍛🍱

Great video, makes perfect sense, I make soups, rice/millet and a big salad bowl, food for the week. Breakfast is rice flakes with banana. Snack dates and satsuma. 😁

I absolutely don't meal prep. If I try, I never want to eat what I've already made. I cook all meals on the fly.

This video is very very interesting. It makes sense. I’ve yo-yo dieted for years – finally kept 10kg off for 12months … just another 8kg to go.
I like raw carrot or cooked, pea protein and mint peas, corn by itself but dislike mixed veg of corn, pea and carrot but continued to buy packets for years!! I love broccoli and beans and broad beans, leeks, onions and garlic …so what did I keep buying Brussel spouts!!

I like chickpeas, lentils and black beans – kidney beans and white beans not so much – so why keep buying them !! It makes me feel guilty when I don’t eat them!

I love all types of salad – capsicums, cucumbers etc

I’m mainly eat plant based and enjoy your channel but still eat meat.

I love green smoothies but don’t like berry smoothies but kept making them – shoot me now !

But kept buying chicken – I hate chicken and mince – I hate mince …. Kept trying new recipes hating it.

I like salmon , sardines and a steak once in a while but not often

So now after watching your video I’m sticking to what I love and enjoy. Keep it simple. Thank you

I really struggle with lunches that I can bring to work with me. No vegan options in the work cafetaria and no microwave available to heat something up. The lunch options I see on Youtube are way more elaborate than I have time for in the morning or evening, plus the portion sizes seem to always be so small. Haven't found an easy way to deal with this.

Hi Chelsea. First time seeing your channel. I heard your accent but I was trying to work out where you are. I’m a Kiwi too but live in Australia now (married an Aussie). You said “take out” instead of takeaway so I thought you must be living in the US. Then you mentioned having spent time there.

That was great advice. I watch a lot of plant based vegan YouTube channels and they pretty much have the same meals as you showed. I think we all eat the same. 😂 What you said was so true. It’s easier to stay on track when it’s a habit. At first I thought no, I can’t eat the same every day. But I understand your points. Little tweaks can be easily made. Thanks Chelsea!

I make a bunch of my starches all on one day with my instantpot. I do black beans, chickpeas, farro or quinoa, and lentils and freeze in meal sized containers. I am not vegan but do enjoy fruits and veggies and am learning to eat more plant based. I also cannot eat the same thing for 3 or 4 days in a row as most meal peppers do so I am struggling a bit. Thank you for the advice.

This was the most valuable video I have ever seen on the vegan diet. As a newbie making that transition, I have struggled with how to do it in a way that is sustainable. At last, the answer -thanks to you!! This was just great. Thank [email protected]@

Completely agree. I love air fried potatoes all day, everyday with cooked veggies. In summer i swap the cooked veggies for salad ……. Simplicity is best and potatoes are a great taste reset.

I stuck to a meal plan for 33 weeks and I hated every minute of it. All that cooking, chopping, waste (yes, I could never use all the ingredients).

Eating this way gave me premature arthritis and painful abdominal cramping, bloating and gas.😵‍💫I reversed all my awful symptoms when I stopped eating grains and legumes and started eating meat and raw dairy. My joints are pain free and I’ve lost fat and water weight. To each his own🤷🏼‍♀️

You're absolutely right! I've lost 65 lbs eating essentially the same thing every day. I can't be bothered to create something different for dinner, I like to keep it simple.

I love simple meals! I use to say that I cook in my plate because it is where I mix veg, beans, rice and so on. Sooo easy! And my breakfast is always toasted brown bread with hummus and slices of tomatoes with a cup of soy milk where I add grounded flax seeds, a bit of ginger and sometimes some cocoa. I love my breakfast too, delicious!

Brilliant advice. This is changing the way I think about meal prep and making life easier! Love the idea to just have a variety of sauces to put over hot veggie bowls because that’s where I just realized that I get bored. I only need variety in that sauce!

Ate the same thing virtually everyday(certain foods were deducted every so weeks)for 16 weeks on my last cutting diet.
You just get into a mindset of just eating it because its to do a job.
But yea, it's tedious ha ha.
Got to have a strong mindset to go to them sort of places.
Now I'm just wanting to eat a well balanced non restrictive plant based diet

Brilliant! Life is so much easier if I eat pretty much the same things every day. I love looking at all the fancy vegan bowls and the variety of foods included, but actually doing all of that work is too demanding. I love your approach!

Great video!! We do this at my house. We have a container of cooked brown rice or sweet potatoes or white potatoes… each week is something different. We cook beans in our instapot to put in a container in the fridge. We have a freezer full of frozen veggies and frozen fruit. We rotate having a variety of greens like kale, spinach or arugula
We pre-dice bell peppers, celery, carrots and red/scallion onions. We have hummus and burrito wraps

Im happy to share that I do exactly what you spoke about on this video, I love my oatmeal breakfast which I normally eat at 12:00PM ( i Fast ) if not I have a rice bowl, veggie salad, for dinner I always have sweet potatoes, yam, broccoli, other roasted veggies and frozen cauliflower rice to make a stir fry, and of course pasta dishes ( Im Italian ! ) my question is I am always worried if I am getting all my nutrients even though I have lots of legumes ,chia seeds hemp hearts, ect. ect. thanks for this video, I enjoy watching you always.

Sorry, can’t eat the same thing every day. I know oatmeal with blueberries is a really healthy breakfast, and I do like it, but when I tried to eat it everyday, I was just about gagging on it day 5. And then I couldn’t eat it again for weeks. Now I make it 3 times a week. The other 4 days we eat 4 different breakfasts. My husband actually complains a little about the 3 days of oatmeal, but he knows it’s super healthy, so he deals with it. I make a different dinner every night, usually no repetitions for each month, although I do make extra servings for the next days lunch. And I always make a huge batch of rice in my instant pot and keep the extra in the freezer so it’s already made the next time I need it. I have tried to prepare veggies ahead of time so I can quickly throw together a salad, but I always end up with more than we consume and end up having to throw some away, and I do not like to waste food. I plan out our dinners 2 weeks at a time, make my grocery list based on those meals, and do the majority of shopping once every 2 weeks. Occasionally have to run out for something I forgot, or something I want fresh. I would probably eat the same dinners more often if it was just me, but even if we have something similar one week apart, he’ll be asking “pasta, again? We just had that.” It’s a good thing I love to cook!

Chelsea, you are wonderful! I am brand new to your channel and you are exactly what I need! I really am a lot like you, I can eat the same thing several times in a row. One of my favorite, quick lunches is just steamed rice and a ton of veggies, lol! I am the same with oats, I love oatmeal with frozen cherries too! THANK YOU for this channel. You are so, so right and this "variety" in meal plans is one of the reasons I give into my laziness and have gained more weight as a vegan! Thank you, thank you!
