Myth #1 carbohydrates are bad is actually what vegans are saying to meat eaters because eggs have carbohydrates
I'm confused with myth #2 cause milk does have calcium. Also parents say myth #2 to kids so they can drink milk.
Why do you get confused with myth #5 cause meat eaters are actually talking about organic foods and vegan products like vegan ice cream being expensive.

Confused how this claims to debunk the "myth" concerning vitamins and minerals and ignore the fact of bio-availability differences between plant derived and animal derived. πŸ€”

Funny how peole think thay will lack kalsium on a plant diet. I had that trouble and with d vitamin hormonal disises high blood pressure and more before I was vegan. Now I'm off even meds I took daily before I don't need on a vegan diet and I'm no health freak. God knew what he commanded us in the begning in genisis 1.29 it's not to control os.. it's the best for the animals and us to not eat them. Can't wait for Eden to be restored like foortold in Isaiah 11.6-9

All of this is just bullshit, stop listening to these brain dead activists and just eat what you like, that doesn’t say anything bad about you unless if you try to push it on to people

    1. Yes milk might not prevent certain diseases but neither can plants, but they do have benefits for certain things, and no, yes milk does depend on the mother cows or goat etc diet, but it mainly has calcium do to it to feed the baby, and not to mention that’s where most people get their calcium from, it’s just convenient

    2. Yes some plants have protein but not to mention most of the protein from plants don’t make it into your bloodstream in the first place, and people mainly get their protein from meat, milk, eggs etc, why? Again it’s convenient

    3. Yes vegans may have good things happen, but they also have FAR more shitty things to come to them, such as b12 deficiency, iron deficiency, zinc or copper deficiency, collagen or protein deficiency, low energy levels, IBS, etc

Hope that convinced you to stop listening to this bullshit videos

I'm vegan myself but honestly he doesn't look healthy even for his age. My granny of 84 looks better and she eats everything what is available in her area. (Btw she lives in Siberia). I'm not planning to stop being vegan but I would say I'm concerned.

Yeah, all of that is fine, but veganism might not be the best diet for kidney stone makers… I just heard something in the lines of "cows blah blah don't calcium, so you just eat oxalate and oxalate and some oxalate directly instead, and you and that's how you get your calcium"… not for me

Bullshit. The vegan diet is absolutely malnourishing and medical institutions are riddled with monetary incentives. We have been eating meat for 2.5 million years. It's the grains, processed sugars, and seed oils that cause disease. Not our most ancient food source.
I get that you want to go vegan for philosophical reasons. But don't go around promoting it as the healthiest diet for humans- especially towards growing children.

Thank goodness MILLIONS of people going on the fad keto diet have dispelled the myth that fat is fattening. Any health professional that continues to push food fear and eliminating entire food groups CANNOT be trusted. If the vegan diet works for you, that's fantastic. If you still need some animal protein and dairy to live a healthy Well Balanced life, that's OK too. It's 100% personal. Tune into what your body is telling you.

A vegan diet really isn’t expensive. I went into the grocery store with only $20.50 cents and was able to get veggies , tofu replacements for protein , a little bit of fruit , potatoes and whole grain pasta and cans of beans. These foods are rich in fiber so even just a little bit of this stuff combined keeps me full the entire day. I never felt full eating processed foods. I used to think I had a tape worm.

I don’t know what vegan conspiracy is but it feels like one.. Bharat is the only country where you will find most of the vegetarians. Looks like it’s a copied concept and minus milk. We have vegetarian who don’t eat onion and garlic , we have vegetarians who don’t eat which is grown below the ground etc etc…. this guy talks as if he is going to leave for ever I have seen some comments saying he is 60s and looks great… people r falling more and more for this. It’s just mater of time you collect more and more people and make it a political issue .and make a legislation usless…

What a lying bastard, carbs increase insulin which increases inflammation, all excess carbs are stored as fat and also elevate blood sugars, every time you eat something carbi (like 6 times a day)
CARBS ARE NOT AN ESSENTIAL NUTRIENT whole fat and protein are, in order to get enough plant based protein, you also get excess carbs, and you are always hungry. Ketogenic way of life (no carb intake) the body creates all necessary carbs by gluconeogenesis, you burn the fat you eat, and the excess from your body, EATING SATIRATED FAT IS HEALTHY AND WILL NOT MAKE YOU FAT AS LONG AS YOU KEEP OFF THE NON ESSENTIAL carbs, SWEET TALKER person is a CHARLATAN

As a vegan, if my protein need is 60 grams per day, what if I am getting that, but if a couple of the essential protein amino acids are less than 100%, does that mean the remainder of the protein is used at the level of the lowest level amino acids? I do careful analysis, and lysine and methionine are almost guaranteed to be at a lower level than the other 7 essential amino acids with a plants-only diet. So, for example, if lysine and methionine are showing at 80% when the remaining 7 are at or above 100%, does that effectively downgrade the protein value of other 7?

tad confused. You said milk doesn’t improve bone strength but then went on to say you do need calcium for your bones. So I get you can switch it out with plants obviously but isn’t the point a little contradicting as milk actually does promote bone strength if your using them (exercise)! Great vid tho

Strongly disagree with number 1. Carbs most definitely are transformed and stored as fat….Glucose is not the only fuel.. Secondly not all carbs are a like so this is not how you would compare fats and carbs.
Number 2: Although milk isnt as healthy as once thought.. People cannot diggest plants as well as a cow can (they have 4 stomachs for this job) So its not certain how much plant calcium we can absorb

I think actually they add calcium and other minerals to cow's milk, so it just a waste of time drinking it because you can find these same minerals in other foods. Just like they add addicted additives to cheese and it's hard to stop, but it can be done, I am slowly removing it from my diet and see the benefits of not having milk and cheese in my diet.

potatoes turn to sugar when being processed in your body. soy lowers testosterone and promotes estrogen. as a male this is really bad for you. vegan diet is unhealthy. if you need many vitamins and supplements to get your daily mineral and Vitamin intake then its not healthy.

#1 IS SO DEAD WRONG. this is 1950's science folks. Carbs make you sick and fat… we didn't evolve to eat them in the amounts we do. Healthy Fats and quality Animal protein make you thin and healthy. I was vegan for TWENTY FUCKING YEARS and came out of it in autoimmune hell., and mass carbohydrate intolerance. Ever been to a vegan potluck where any of them have been vegan more than 4 or 5 years? take note of how overweight, sugar addicted, and depressed everyone is (you honestly don't think you are when you're in the middle of it, or you just think that's normal, or it CAN'T be your diet). I can tell you this firsthand. SOME people's bodies handle carbs better than others, but we were never meant to be grainivores…
A vegan diet is bad for the environment and part of the problem, not the solution. The only way vegans get away (like i did) with claiming otherwise is to point out the destructiveness of factory farming, which is part of the same system in most cases. More animals die for a vegan's diet than my current Paleo/keto diet. Restore our grasslands and forests and we can move in the right direction. Gardens are NOT ecosystems… they're human made. there used to be an ecosystem where that crop farm is. Our diets have to be evolutionarily and ecologically principled. <3

Not trying to step on toes here but the last person who's has to put up with the foolishness in this video is a post-vegan who was vegan for 20 years.
p.s. he is probably at least right about the milk/calcium thing though. EAT YOUR GREENS!

This demented vegan does not even understand what he is saying.

For example, he said that 1 g of carbs has 4 calories, while 1 g of fat has 9 calories. OK then. Let’s think. Suppose we need 2000 calories per day. This amounts to 2000/9 = 222 g of fat and 2000/4 = 500 g of carbs a day. When I consume this much, I immediately gain 500/222 = 2.25 times more weight on carbs.Β

So, what is more fattening, fat or carbs?

Of coarse, this is absurdly simplistic model, but, boy, this β€œscientists” gave me excuse to think in this simplistic terms about biology!

The real explanation is, of coarse, in human metabolism and in controlling hormones. You eat carbs, insulin goes up, anabolic reactions insue, you store fat that liver produces from carbs, you gain weight. Amen. Good by, β€œdr” Barnard, educate yourself, read bio-medical books, for gosh sake, and stop misleading innocent public.
