There is no such thing as mediterranean diet. Each nation in the mediterreanean has its own culture, cuisine and food. Most people have no clue what a calorie is. People are not necessarily healthy because they follow a 'diet'. If you are vegan, there are a lot of healthy recepes you can try from differents areas. In the mediterranean, there is a variety of grains like sorghum, barley wheat and rye which are used in so many plant based recepes.
