Oh my goodness I might be the last person to learn about Matt tragic death. What am enormous talent! What a loss! What a waste! Deeply sorry for the family! And for the loss to the world of such a great human and inspiration.
The guy was killing it with every recipe, then he made one kinda blandy dessert and was kicked out in the semi's…..There's something rotten in Denmark guv'nor….Marcus even looked embarrassed when he told Matt he had lost……Plus those 2 young chefs were great, but it looked as though they were picked out from start and could do no wrong….

This last 'judge' doesn't seem to understand that the artichoke is not intended, in this dessert, to taste of artichoke flavor…These artichokes are intended to be transformed, so as to not muddy the flavors of the overall dish. This chef was clear that these vegetables were being used to show how their natural sweetness could enhance a dessert..and he did that. I, myself, if the meal served ahead of the dessert has been fairly light, enjoy a dense and rich dessert. It's up to me to put the fork down when I feel full. Apparently the judge thinks he must eat every bite on this plate. Interesting….(jealous much Chef?)
