I tried this cake and wasn't that impressed. Then I watched the video again and discovered I'd left out the flaxmeal and baking powder!! I'm waiting for a ripe banana to try it again.

I learned the hard way not to cover this in the microwave! I put a silicone lid over the bowl to keep the cherry juice from splattering – bad idea (should have used a paper towel) I love this yummy cake! I wake up thinking about it.

I'm having a very big thing happening with the cake and pudding recipes – my new favorites and I realize that most of my life I haven't been able to eat sweets without feeling bad – bad about myself, worried I'll gain weight and also bad about sugar and fat. These recipes have given me a HUGE emotional relief about food and satisfaction. I'm beyond grateful for the hard work you have put in to lend a hand to others working to lose weight but also live in a healthy way. I am finally at age 67 gaining a good relationship to food. Thank you again and again. I am making friends with food, for the first time in my life…
We love this so much. We made a double batch for tonight's dinner as a dessert for our family of four and we only ate one portion of the two portions because it is so filling. Leftovers tomorrow. Yeah!!! Thank you for your inspiration.

Hi Ami, I made this for the first time this morning. Sounds ridiculously dramatic but honestly, I think this is a bit of a life-changer, it's soooooo delicious and filling! I used chia seeds instead of flax and also added frozen mango alongside the cherries. It was the perfect level of sweetness. Basically, that's my breakfast sorted for the rest of my life!!
