That's so true. There's so many extra steps I have to do as a immigrant and dual citizen to a different country. If i wanted to go to school in Australia for med school (which i am and was still considering) the amount of things I have to do as compared to if one of my friends who was simply born in America would have to do is sizably different.
Do not worry. This is just temporary bump of the road. It seems you are an intelligent woman. Keep pushing! These doors will open for you, more easily in the future.
Oh lord that would piss me off so bad… putting the obvious biases aside, why couldn’t they at least pass you faster due to yk, having a notable event to go to for a highly respectable job 🧍♀️⁉️
I was sent by my office to get L4 visa, I got rejected, n my colleague with surname Khan got accepted. It was after 9/11. All ho Halla abt Muslims were not accepted was clearly a lie. He went there, produced 2 kids on their land , and he never came back to India. And my plan was to come back in 2 years for sure. Some ppl told me, they don't give single women job visa easily. If that's the case, what abt married ppl going there n producing offsprings?. It did not make sense to me.
It's my understanding as an Australian travel agent that visa requirements are mutual and have to do with political agreements between countries. It's possible you required something other than a tourist visa because you were speaking?
my grandmother and mother have both been detained by immigration despite being green card holders/ citizens respectively. the fact that entering the us as a “third world” citizen is such a hassle that even leaving temporarily could put u at risk of displacement is infuriating!!!
Not true….my kids are US citizens qnd to apply for student visa they needed to present every entry and exit visa and copies of anything you can imagine. Your video is not 100% true….we are ftom a first world country as you say, but we go through the same. For us to visit India is not easy either and costs more than US 100 for a tourist visa. Tell the other side too ok??
Yup totally crazy … I am from the usa and every country welcomes me and were super hospitable… and then I come home and get reminded that America has no manners
Yup, totally can relate to this. Grandad was on his deathbed in NY and Mum applied to go, they rejected saying not genuine. Mum applied again but by then Grandad passed on. She was rejected…again!
We need to get out of the notion of "first world country" that's a bubble these westerners have created successfully!!! No more first world, no more extra benefits!!!
I'm Australian and I ticked the wrong box on my husband visa and even though we got all the requested information, everything certified, had to travel to go to their embassy in Melbourne and still got rejected with no reason
I’m American and my husband is South African. We are in the process of getting him a visa while we live together in South Africa for the time being. The struggle is real. It’s so frustrating sometimes.
Which is why people here say stupid stuff like "if you don't like it here then leave". Like… Ms. Ma'am, you do NOT understand how immigration works! You don't just go to another country and like… Isn't your xenophobia why you said that in the first place? So now you want more people to be immigrants?
Unfortunately Indians only have given them that privilege. Indians die to be in those first world countries. Instead of making india better they escape to those country for a better lifestyle and career. Indians have nothing to complain. Al the background check is required because Indians have been living illegally in other countries while trying to stay there for life even if they don’t get permanence. Till the time India doesn’t prove that it is a developed nation the rest of the world will be like that.

That is how racism is mainstream by West.

I feel this deeply. Thank you for sharing your experience <3

Sweet voice with amazing accent
Needless to say: they must have kept visa application fee and not refunded 😂😂
Tbh I focus more on her stories rather than her recipes. Lol
This needs to be HEARD.

And no one's talking about the food which is main content. I forgot, that's how life is today, focus is on side rather than main🤭🤩

Other counties SHOULD be just as strict on americans, but they're not because they was tourist money

don't use words such as first and third world countries, because none can tell what is anyone
That's why I have invented a teleportation machine & just go to any part of the world without the interference of humans.
World “politics” or just good old fashioned ✨colonialism✨
Nahi jana US 😂
Infuriating! You can get a visa but the border agent still can decide whether to let you in or not.
So stay here and help India to grow to such a level that those people come to our country
When we call ourself third world country, we in a sense accept their superiority. So…..
