actually some of the things sheldon said were true. adding oil in the beef can help with retaining moisture and it can sort of transfer some flavors onto the meat because some flavors get released with fat. also the water meat thing you can tenderize meats by raising the pH level with things such as baking soda and water or others but not with water alone
