Refika, I lived in Istanbul fifteen years, and I miss you guys! Your personality is adorable, and I will make some mercimek koftesi! Thank you for your videos! I loved the one where you made simit . . . my most favorite bread in the world.
Thanks Moroccan 🇲🇦loves Turkish food
You are looking more and more beautiful 😊❤
Love from Malaysia 🇲🇾
In india, there is same kindaa thing , but cooking style is little different. Inspite of cooking lentils we soak lentils overnight and make the thick paste, add spices and then deep or shallow fries the lentil balls. These are usually eaten with yogurt.
There are vegetable koftes as well, vegetables like bottle guard are grated then gram flour and spices are added, balls are made and fried. And added into gravy made with tomatoes, onion, ginger, garlic or other basic spices.
But urs look like my stomach friendly 😅 as i have GERD, i can't handle spicy and greasy food.
A Turkish friend taught me how to make this YEARS ago – and it has become a firm favourite! These patties make GREAT party food just on the lettuce leaves but rolling them into coated balls takes them to a whole new WOW level – so THANK-YOU Refika!! I've found the paste can happily be made the day before but leave the herbs to the day of serving. We have also used leftovers in burgers and wraps – versatile, delicious and healthy!! Next time though any leftovers will definitely get the 'fried patties' treatment. YUM!!
Thats so healthy! Thanks
Excellent ❤❤❤❤
I love all that greenery in your kitchen corner!
Your recipes are very good but your presentations are JUST TOO HYSTERICAL for me…
Hi refika I am your subscriber and love your recipes. I am from india planning to visit Istanbul would love to meet u.
I live in a rural part of northern Spain, and amongst the many, Many, MANY ingredients I cannot get are red lentils, which I love. I am going to try these with small brown lentils and hope for the best. My ambition is to visit Turkey , and you of course!
