I love your interview videos Ryan. You ask the right questions and get great answers. What I appreciate the most is that you care. You care about your clients, their progress and the process to help them achieve their goals. Tia, love your videos too. I need to find a good supporting group of people where I am. That is missing in my journey. Thank you both ππ»πππ»
Awesome video and just what I was looking. Ryan Iβm confused on how much to eat, what foods to stay away from, and how many times a day should I eat? I donβt think I know how to start Vegan but would love love to try it( eat clean and healthy and if it comes with weight loss Iβm down). I would like to wear a 2 piece without a baby pouch π. Please let me know Ryan. Thanks
I think the fat phobia thing is from all the plant doctors saying fats with carbs causes diabetes
A great interview Ryan. Thanks to Tia advocating your coaching I found you too. Thank you Tia! Best investment for not only weight loss but knowledge. A 58 year life of being vegan but oh so unhealthy! I learned tons from coaching programming and on going through videos such as these. Thanks so much π
Fantastic interview!!
Tia i am 62, I started with a 30 day juice fast end of Jan 2015. I lost 30 lbs. Then from there went directly into WFPB, but not totally correct. I was still eating oil, not much processed meat subs , but still some vegan snack foods. I quickly gained that 30 back. I keep trying different things trying to lose weight, but still I struggle to keep from gaining. No oil unless some things sneak it in when we eat out. I bring my own oil free dressings. But still struggle with snacking thru out the day. I do perfect for few days but still dont lose. Some days constantly hungry. EVen if I am full. 8 urs and still trying and still about 60 lbs overweight and pre diabetes.
Love these two people and I am grateful for their message. Their struggles are very common with most of us and appreciate their honestly. I have been following these two individuals for the last year and both have made a huge impact on my relationship with my food and my weight
Loving this !! Love you guys together on you tube colab.π
As Ryan said in another video, "You don't need to count calories but calories still count". An awareness of the approximate calories per food group (fruit, veggies, starchy veggies, potatoes, grains, etc.) is important, I do glance at the calorie content if I buy cans of beans, etc. or other packaged unprocessed food but otherwise I don't. In a previous yo-yo dieting life I was constantly weighing and measuring and becoming obsessed with food.
I too came from a carbophobia background and was so happy when I was able to eat a jacket potato after 20+ years of denying myself wholesome carbs (but the cravings were so intense that somehow it was no problem to eat biscuits and doughnuts). I kept hearing that meat, not pasta/potatoes, etc. fills you up so I was eating a lot of meat and oily fish. I was lucky that one day a Plant Based News video popped into my YT, it was an amazing video by Dr Michelle McMacken (link below) that made so much sense and she explained the WFPB diet with such clarity and kindness, without her it would have taken me too several years or maybe I would never have managed to make the transition. So to this day I am so grateful to the YT algorithm which then also led me to Ryan''s & Tia's wonderful channels. You guys are most polite but it is Dr McDougall who said, "The fat you eat is the fat you wear". His maximum weightloss plans are NO nuts and seeds. The community came down hard on Dr Fuhrman who promotes seeds & nuts… Its sad they argue about the minute details.
Love Tia!
Love you guys! Thanks for sharing this talk! Consistency and accountability are definitely important!!
She is the BEST!
I am all set to get started and this is a good video to watch. Especially about the non-linear progression and to be consistent! Thank you both.
Loved it, great work guys!! π
Yay! I love Healthy Vegan Mama! Such a ray of sunshine β€β€β€
