Food mentioned are those that I take daily. It doesn't do any harm too. Is what he presented research based or just from his own knows. We need facts and not just statements without supporting stats. Coffee, garlic, onions and chilli are medicinal foods and I take it daily but not in excess. Remember, when you take medicine, you only take the prescribed dose. Just like that, you can take those medicinal food as medicines.
This is when you just learn that you have to factor out other peopleās opinionsā¦alright sir, 3hours of sleep , now no garlic/onionā¦STRIKE 2!!! Lol
I changed my nutrition behavior, and i lst 12 kg in 4 month, now you tellme that spinach( i love spinach) , garlic, tomatoes , eggs, i should avoid. ..Ishould avoid your comments
AĢhaĢrya
In every object of the universe, one of three attributes ā sattva, rajah and tamah ā will always be predominant. So food is also divided into three categories according to the dominancy of the attributes.
(1) SaĢttvika AĢhaĢra: All the staple food-grains such as rice, wheat, barley, etc.; all the pulses except masuĢr [an orange-coloured lentil] and khesaĢri; all fruits and roots; all kinds of vegetables except violet-coloured carrots, white brinjals [white eggplants], onions, garlic and mushrooms; milk and milk products; all green and leafy vegetables except red puni and mustard.
All varieties of spices except garam masalaĢ(1) and all kinds of sweets, can be taken.
A saĢttvika diet is required for those who practise aĢsanas. Those who find it difficult to give up the habit of raĢjasika food all of a sudden may eat a piece of haritakii [myrobalan] after the meal. Those who take saĢttvika food should avoid taking a large quantity of mustard or mustard products. RaĢjasika food-eaters should gradually try to change over to saĢttvika food and taĢmasika food-eaters should try to give up such food as early as possible.
For the avadhuĢtas and avadhuĢtikaĢs of Tantric lineage there is only one kind of food, saĢttvika food.
All foods that are beneficial to both body and mind are considered saĢttvika.
(2) RaĢjasika ahaĢra: Any food that is beneficial to the body but is neutral to the mind, or vice versa, is called raĢjasika. Foods that do not fall into the saĢttvika or taĢmasika categories are of raĢjasika nature. In certain countries where there is a heavy snowfall, raĢjasika food can be treated as saĢttvika and taĢmasika food as raĢjasika.
(3) TaĢmasika aĢhaĢra: All kinds of foods which are harmful to either the body or mind and may or may not be harmful to the other are called taĢmasika.
Stale and rotten food, the flesh of large animals such as cows and buffaloes, and all types of intoxicants, are categorized as taĢmasika.
Small amounts of tea, cocoa and similar drinks which do not excite a person to the point of losing his/her senses are in the raĢjasika category. The milk of a newly-calved cow, white brinjals, khesaĢrii daĢl, green vegetables of the type of red puni or mustard are taĢmasika. MasuĢr daĢl cooked for one meal will become taĢmasika by the next meal.
Meat-eating
Persons who have a strong desire for eating meat and those who eat meat out of necessity shall eat only meat from a male or castrated animal. No one should knowingly eat the meat of a female animal. One should not eat even a domestic female fowl.
Do not kill a fish which is one-fourth or less of its normal adult size. Also, do not kill a fish if it is in its infancy or its pregnancy. For instance, at present the female hilsaĢ fish of the Indian Ocean is normally pregnant or in its post-delivery state from ShaĢradotsava [mid-autumn] to the full moon of the Indian month of PhaĢlguna.

In Tantric philosophy Tamasic food should be avoided by a spiritual practioner. These are the category of tamasic foods that should be avoided. My guru prescribed a sattvic diet for sannyasis and family persone may include rajasik foods in moderation.
" As a result of eating sentient food and performing spiritual practices, the cells of the human body become sentient. Naturally, an effulgence emanates from these cells, creating an aura around the physical body of the spiritual aspirant. This is the reason why many pictures of mahaĢpurusĢas [highly-evolved persons] show them with radiant auras.
If cells are affected by food and water, and if the nature of the cells affects the nature of the human mind, obviously human beings should eat the correct diet, because food and mind are closely related to each other. Any food item, whether good or bad, must not be taken indiscriminately because it may lead to mental degeneration. Sincere spiritual aspirants must follow the dictum,
AĢhaĢrashuddhao sattvashudhih.
[A sentient diet produces a sentient body.]
Only food which is helpful in keeping the body and mind sentient should be eaten.
Every object of the world is dominated by one of the three principles ā sentient, mutative, and static. Food is no exception, and according to its intrinsic nature, is divided into the same three categories.
Sentient food: Food which produces sentient cells and is thus conducive to physical and mental well-being is sentient. Examples of sentient food are rice, wheat, barley, [almost] all kinds of pulses; fruit, milk and milk products.
Mutative food: Food which is good for the body and may or may not be good for the mind, but is certainly not harmful for the mind, is mutative.
Static food: Food which is harmful for the mind and may or may not be good for the body is static. Onion, garlic, mushrooms, wine, stale and rotten food, the meat of large animals (such as cows and buffaloes), fish, eggs, etc., are static.
Very often people eat food without knowing its intrinsic qualities. For example, the milk of a cow which has just given birth. Or white eggplant, khesaĢrii pulse [horse gram], red punĢi [Basella rubra Linn.], and mustard leaves, all of which often grow out of rotten matter [and are therefore static].
In order to have a balanced mind and to progress spiritually, human beings will have to pay attention to the qualities of the food they eat. The idea that āI will just do my saĢdhanaĢ and eat any food, proper or improperā will not do. "

Garlic is good. Leave my garlic alone! Lol
Factual Errors at 5:06 Brinjal does not contain 'serotonin' as claimed in this video neither is it a 'poison' it actually is a neurotransmitter found in brain. Brinjal however does contain scopoletin which may modulate serotonin but nothing in scientific literature to the best of my knowledge has any adverse effect. Viewers must kindly consult a dietitian to make better food choices instead of a spiritual guru but if you are a person who would prefer to take legal advise from a singer instead of a lawyer then Good luck!
Now I know Sadguru's message can also be fake…
Hence no man is perfect even Sadguru's idea is not perfect
Completely disagree with this recommendation and it should be banned
Itās the sarcasm for me š
Red meat is the most nutricious and healthiest thing you can eat.
Trust your taste.
Also: eat a lot of animal fat. It gives you power
No one is drinking garlic/onion juice or eating raw garlic/onion. They use very little of it 2-3 times a week in their food to counteract the unavoidable processed foods that we get on a daily basis in the U.S at least. No one is eating eggplants or raw garlics / onions everyday.
As already mentioned moderation is key but I believe the more natural the food source and less processed food is the better it is for you.
When I go to the store I never buy garlic or onions. They put a bad taste in my mouth and give me body odor. I don't need that. I didn't know that asafoetida was bad for you. I learned from experience that eggplant dulls my mind, and it does so quickly.
The problem with the world is that people listen to all the BS like this video….. this kind of BS easily influences the Western world.
WHAT TO EAT IN THIS WORLD THEN, WHEN YOU EAT THIS IS BAD, AND WHEN YOU WAT THAT IS BAD, THAN WHO SHOULD I BE LISTENING TO? THATS WHY I CONSUME WHAT I CONSUME, AND IāMA DOCTOR OF MY OWN SELF. THESE VIDEOS SOMETIMES ITāS JUST TO TAKE YOU OFF THE TRACK OF WHAT YOU DO BEST. DONāT LISTEN TO NOBODY BUT YOURSELF, AND YOUR GUTS. THATāS WHY I STOPPED LISTENING TO ALL THESE BULL CRAP.š¢š¢š¢
