I go walking about 5 miles almost everyday.and I do fast almost everyday. There’s some day’s I’ll eat oatmeal with what a banana.or a one egg with whole wheat toast with avocado 🥑 one egg.and shredded wheat.
I’ve just started my journey on plant based the beginning of this month. I was doing keto for years. And my wife kept telling me this is isn’t a good thing for you. And I’m thyroid meds.I kept hearing about this plant based and how healthy it is.
I love the idea about just concentrating on eating the right foods at the beginning. After being over weight for decades nothing worked for me until I went to a whole food low processed and no refined sugars, oils and salt lifestyle. I’ve lost 100 lbs so far and have my last 30 lbs to go. It’s taken me a few years to do it as it’s been a roller coaster ride of weight but just bc I had a bad day, week or month I always got back on my program and never gave up! Good luck everyone !
That is really a good thought, that you no longer have to buy into the things you have always thought about yourself, like being addicted to sweets, etc. That's not something I hear coming from many people.
I like your channel. All videos I've seen so far are very informative. You talk a bit about people switching from junk food to whole foods. Up till now I still had some hope that mcDougall will eventually work for me. People said oh you can eat as much as you want as long as it's the mc Dougall proportions. Unfortunately these foods you call self limiting are not that limiting to me. I am an overeater. I eatvery clean though. All plant based for years and years. But I am always hungry. Its not real hunger as when Im busy or hiking I can go for hours without eating or getby on a small packed lunch. But when Im home I could have 3 helpings of brown rice and later in the day have 2 or 3 platefuls of the 'mcDougall plate'half starch half non starchy veg. And still think of food later. I have neither gained nor lost weight since I started mc Dougall. I am in the upper limit of the overweight bmi. I used to be obese. I guess I have to keep my'success'of being just overweight. Any tips on overeating behavior? One dietician advised to read up on addiction.
Very sound advice. So glad I found you!

Off topic but you are beautiful to look at- you look like you could have been in the 80s group Duran Duran. You're probably too young to know them.
Ryan you are quite an excellent speaker, you articulate ideas well, always a joy to listen!

Thank you for this, Ryan. This was affirming as I make small, simple changes to my diet.
