Just to let you know that the writer who wrote the "love language" books is an evil person and sexist. Look into it. It will make you to NEVER use and promote the concept ever again.

I have a similar ideology. I love to cook not because to make it a profession (even though I like the idea 😅) but when people eat the food and tell it's so good, the happiness I get is just so good… ❤

Girl speak for yourself, Filipino families are very loving. What is it with Asian Americans thinking their experiences are universal.

My love language is gift giving. It's not always big, but I get it with that certain person in mind. Cheap or expensive, big or small, homemade or store bought it doesn't really matter. And it can be any time of the year, it doesn't have to be a special occasion. I need those words of affirmation and my husband needs acts of service.

As someone who grew up in a household where spoken appreciation is rare, I became kinda awkward in giving and receiving complements. Now, I prefer acts of service and small gifts as a way to show my love to my family and friends. It is a way for me to show appreciation without the pressure of trying to be humble without looking rude.

Ooh I didnt know you’re half Filipino, for some people it’s obvious physically (sorry just an observation). Totally relate. Although it’s quite a generalization it still applies to a lot of Asian families 😂 we didnt grew up with physical display of love that much. It’s awkward as adults & we have to break the generational cycle

Literally same here. Acts of service is also my parents' love language and in return, we siblings adapted it too. Words of affirmation is hard to come by, but it's more on tough love encouragement. And damn, My li'l sis loves baking banana bread and this vid just made me tear up.

I'm Filipina and that's how I show my love too. I love cooking for my friends. The last time I did I just brought all the ingredients to a friend's house and cooked for her family and invited other friends to come eat.
