Man, I was hopeful for the carbs section… but Greek yogurt and zucchini are NASTY to me – like "trying not to puke while eating" nasty, and it's been like that my entire life. I'll stick with plain yogurt w/ vanilla and honey, chickpea noodles for extra protein, and non-dairy ice cream for the odd treat (I'm lactose intolerant so I have to be careful here).
My shock when I saw the 1500 calorie ice cream…. 😭 this video is so helpful though! My weight loss journey has actually given me some motivation to start cooking healthy meals, and I cannot stand cooking overall (living with my parents and mom has always done the cooking), but I want to get in the best shape of my life. Once I move out I will have to cook for myself, so it is better to start now

One of the biggest byproducts I noticed of calorie counting is just how mush salt and sugar is in most processed food, restauraunts, fast foo etc its insane. Calorie counting and learning more about the nutrients of the food Im eating (or lacl thereof) has rekindled in me my love of cooking. Its okay to treat youraelf to a meal out but dont let a long day excuse yourself from making a good homecooked meal!
This video is hilarious because the "poor food choices" look super appetizing and delicious. "Additional fat" is literally what makes certain meat and fish taste better than others. Zucchini noodles are great for a vegetable, but they are not/never will be/can't compare to actual pasta. The info is super useful and staying satiated is key to not overeating. Still, don't try to pass off "healthier alternatives" as equals to their higher calorie "counterparts." Ice cream vs. non-fat Greek yogurt with added cinnamon and chemicals…LOLOLOL!

Great advice, but watch prepared salad dressings as they are full of sodium and not so good fats. Better to prep your own. Love the idea of substituting half rice, pasta, (or even potatoes) with your healthy alternatives.

This is a very good video. I’m wondering. Say you have 1800 calories a day to aim at, does it matter what you eat as long as you don’t go over the 1800 for weight loss? Like say if you ate 200-400 of these calories from Oreo’s or something nice would that matter? I guess what I’m asking is does it matter more what you eat or calorie amount? Myself personally I am losing 1kg a week with a pretty balanced diet but I don’t eat any chocolate, biscuits, cakes etc
One more thing: get high on pills or weed, not drinks; way lower calories.

Can you please talk about calorie offset? I don’t mind going for a 2.5m hike every other day. The hike is moderate difficulty. I have it calculated at 181 calorie burn. Can I use that calorie offset to eat some snacks I enjoy?

I agree with most of your choices only popcorn is made from corn which is used to fatten cows and pigs. It is fattening and not all that good for you from what I have researched.

Yeah, but yogurt isn't going to replace a craving for ice cream. Id rather eat something like Halo Top ice cream. They put the calories for the whole pint in big bold font and i am never able to finish all of it in one sitting
