I just watched a cure all carnivore diet presentation advocating eating nothing but meat and I found it alarming, people quite aggressive and denigrating non meat eaters! I’m a long time veggie, fit, 80 years, full time job, not overweight and keen to stay healthy. Your presentation is so lovely, a relief! Thank you for making it.

Potatoes are too high glycemic for many of us. I eat sweet potatoes (microwaved) or squash instead.

When vegetables are fresh and cooked with love they are delicious naked. I'm talking dressings not clothing.

Slimming clubs are never going to explain this because it works too good. They need their customers (€£$) coming back. Sadly people don't realise. Need Chef AJ clubs.

I'd like to copy Chef AJ's daily lunch of a sweet potato. But can potatos be batch cooked and then eaten later? I wont be able to bake a potato on weekdays at the office.

🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🥰🥰🥰🥰I just watched one of the best testimonials ever. It made so much sense to me! He says things I’ve never heard from anyone else in my 2.5 years of studying WFPB. I knew what he was saying because my common sense says the same thing. It was on the “Plant Based News” youtube channel Aug11,2023. Title “My 20 Year Journey to Reversing Type 2 Diabetes”. Please interview him when you can!

Most American veggies don't taste good unless you are in California or near a farm. Asia, Middle East, South America, etc have sweet, fresh veggies and fruit. But they do taste better when you ditch sugars and sweetners.

Eat the way you are describing, and life will seem longer. Because you will be able to participate in it much more easily.

Chef AJ, the 1st time I heard "calorie density" was when you and Rip had a chat, but I get it now with your visuals and detail. Thanks!!!

Fantastic presentation!!! I have the new book Unprocessed and just got Own your health. Can't wait to dive into it. I'm so excited because I am down 80 lbs. ( 34 lbs off with WFPB since last Oct.) The most spectacular is that my diabetes is reversing. Thanks Chef AJ for all you do! Your an angel in disguise! 👼❤

I think that food addiction is just hunger for nutrients and vitamins. In junk food aren't any. In vegetables and fruit are, but non-bioavailable for humans (so feel free to eat them until you are tired, you will still suffer). Therefore will be better for me to stick to keto/carnivore diet. Good luck with your diet.

It is better to call oil, sweeteners, protein powder, salt, wine, fiber supplement, etc as refined chemicals to emphasize that these are not real foods. There are exceptions since vegans do need the refined chemical called vitamin b12 supplement.

Earlier pioneer on caloric density was nathan pritikin who was a strong influence on dr john mcdougall. Some high calorie fruits have been used as staple foods like coconuts, plantains, breadfruit, pandanus, etc. I pretty much boil all my food in order to make sure the fiber of unrefined plant foods will work better. If I boil potato or sweet potato, I never throw away the water used for boiling and will drink all of the water used for boiling. For high calorie traditional foods like corn tortillas and whole grain breads, maybe throw them into soups. I have tried cacao beans and they are quite bitter.
