High glucose spikes cause inflammation. Especially if it stays above 130 for over 2 hours. As long as the insulin response is working correctly, you should is be fine.

With Total-C of 120 mg/dl and LDL-C of 65 mg/dl there is zero risk of CVD. HDL doesn't matter cause you have so little cholesterol to transport back.

You touch on everything I've heard in other places before, that the keto looks good at first but then long term not so much. i started WFPB eating a not too long ago to improve gur health and haven't looked back. For me it's simple with high nutrition and I'm losing weight along with correcting hormonal issues at the age of 51. It really saved my life, my body was becoming more reactive to animal proteins and i got tired of it and I couldn't lose weight at all.

Chris, yet another wonderful, evidenced based yet balanced set of observations. The more people that engage with your work, the better global and planetary health will be. I salute you sir!

What would happen to a person who has been low carb for a long time if they needed to get an IV infusion at an emergency room or for hospitalization? IV's contain a lot of glucose and such among other electrolytes and vitamins. Would this influx of sugar worsen their health issue since their pancreas is hardly producing any insulin?

Satiety is a state of being. Satiation is the process of getting there.
Sorry Chris, I couldn’t help myself.
However your point is extremely important.
After being diagnosed with a diabetic side effect that I had no idea existed, I’ve decided to start a book entitled “Diabetes, what your endocrinologist should have told you and almost certainly didn’t”. It’s a good idea if I can accomplish it.
My point is, your issue with language is I think, critical. Thanks for doing this.

Hey there. Nice video! Any thoughts on the carnivore diet and why SO many people seem to state remarkable health benefits from it?
I have lived with autoimmune disease for many years and the last couple of years has been really hard!! I think people flock to diets (keto and carnivore) to get some help and out of desperation. Then when we hear these anecdotes, it lights a distant hope… MAYBE I TOO CAN GET WELL… <3
    Thanks

I'm confused. Are there more than one test here? The study by a Kevin hall was ultra processed against in processed to see which ended up with more calories. Its not about low carb vs low fat plant based at all. What are you talking about here?

Carnivore cured my constipation and bloating. My boyfriend is vegan, I mostly ate whatever he ate but then I started getting digestive issues even with foods I previously had no issues with- These were whole foods too, not unhealthy vegan burgers or anything after I found out how bad they were. I started eating whatever vegan stuff my boyfriend ate and then only went down to the whole foods and no seed oils but I was still lethargic and bloated all the time but all that went away when I did just meat for like a week. Whatever works.

Actually the glucose the brain uses is made by the body, converted from fat

6:30 the harder textures thing makes sense since crunchy things lower stress so lower cortisol means lower appetite

I do not eat coconut oil al all. My heart is in good health, but my heart doctor said stay away from coconut oil and any oil that hardens. Olive oil is the best for me. Once inawhile, I will eat gee. Meat does not digest well in me, However, I did lost weight trying keto, (maybe because meat didn't digest for two days, so I felt full). Now, I just less of everything. I do eat more vegetables and less carbs. I eat minimal minced meat.

Can someone help explain – or know the answer to this: it seemed that several of the studies were based on "obesity" – do the results count for people who are not obese? Thank you in advance.

How do we know what to believe with all the data people are putting out for
And against both diet’s( vegan & carnivore ) overwhelming to know what we shouldn’t and should eat. ?
Many YouTubers showing weight loss and overall health (blood tests ) improved on meat only diet
Ex vegans saying they we sick from vegan diet ??

Ohh that's fine though, 2200 calories up vs 3000 calories; it's basically the same
    🤣🤣🙄🤨😏

Interesting vid. I'd like to see high carb low fat with no complex carbs

I have a question, being 4 years on Keto. This is not a Troll question, i see your videos as an interesting heads-up:
If saturated fat clogs the arteries, wouldn't i experience a higher blood pressure over time as a warning sign? I am asking because mine dropped since i am on Keto. Of course i understand it the weight loss, but shouldn't it start rising again?

The whole keto diversion should have been settled when it was found out that Inuits worldwide developed a genetic mutation that prevents ketosis. If you don't think that that fact settles the question: think about it until you do — because it does.

Eric Stenberg was talking about the actual risk factor hadn't changed when his total cholesterol went from 207-277, but you cut that part out, why? So you could create a false narrative 🧐

I think most of us are sick due to excess sugar, glyphosate, hormones disruptors, and processed foods. Meat alternatives are made in facilities resembling chemical plants. Weather you're vegan or keto, we should all work together to change what the US is able to consider food and take steps to reduce our reliance on corn, soy, and wheat processed foods.
